GOODBYE TO THE WEEKLY ROUNDUP

Hey y’all. Happy Friday and happy long weekend. I can’t believe today is SEPTEMBER 1! If I could stop time, I totally would, because from here to January is a runaway train. First off, I’m thinking I’m going say goodbye to the weekly roundup and rename our Friday posts. I’ve never loved the name “weekly roundup”. I’m thinking about “The Weekly Edit”. It will still follow a very similar, and sometimes the same format, but I just like the name better. That’s the great thing about being the boss…I can make the big decisions. LOL.

WHAT I DID THIS WEEK/IN CASE YOU MISSED IT…

• This week was all about getting back in the swing of things. I had packages to open and emails to catch up on.
• I shared a LIVE yesterday on Instagram that you can watch here. I talked about 2 pairs of sandals that are on such a huge deal you don’t want to miss, and I shared my new panties and bras from Spanx. There is one of pair of panties that are definitely my new favorites and both bras are FABULOUS.
• Whenever I share a try on here on the blog, I usually share in both stories on Instagram and a short reel. You can see the Loft reel here, and the J.Crew Factory reel here.
• If you’re local to Nashville, and especially near Brentwood, let me tell you about a new coffee spot that opened this week. Crema is in the shopping center with TJMaxx and it’s so good. I got to go early as a job perk (coffee…perk…hahahaha). The sandwich I had was delicious as was the iced coffee. You can see more of that here. Make sure you stop in and check it out for yourself. It’s a great spot to meet a girlfriend for coffee or lunch, take a shopping break or grab a pick me up.

• Okay y’all, I am SO EXCITED about a new collab I’m going to be sharing with you on Instagram, but maybe I’ll share it here as well. So that’s it for the last weekly roundup. I hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend and score some good deals. There’s no shortage of sales, that’s for sure.

The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.

I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.

GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!

YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL

YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.

BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.

LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.

HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.

BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.

GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.

CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
