It took me a little while to get on board with the faux leather when it first came on the scene, but now I am totally here for it. I got a box this week of new faux leather pieces from Spanx and I can’t wait to share them with you. You can use my code LISAXSPANX on all of these for 10% off, free shipping and exchanges.
The first pair are faux leather flares. These are so good for dressy occasions, as well as everyday. I think all of these will be so good for holiday functions. A lot of times we get invited to parties and have no idea what to wear. A pair of faux leather pants from Spanx and a cute sweater or top will likely work for most events.
I typically wear a medium or petite medium in Spanx bottoms. These are a PM, and I have on a 3″ heel. These run true to size (for Spanx), but you definitely have to do the “Spanx” shimmy to get in them. #IYKYK
The sweater is so stinkin’ cute and it’s from Express. I love every single thing about it from the print to the bows.
This pair of faux leather pants with the split leg front are super fun and you can dress them up like I did here, or put on a cute sweatshirt and sneakers for casual wear. If you like the style of these and are leary of the faux leather, they’re also available in the “Perfect” pant line. I have them, and love them. I’m wearing a PM in these as well.
This is another sweater from Express. I like the cropped length of these, and obviously the houndstooth print.
The third pair are a slim straight leg pant. These are a regular medium, and I have the PM coming. The medium are too big in the waist and a tad long. This pair is less form fitting, and would work well for work. HA!
This sweater is from AVARA, and I have 3 of them I love the style. It has a very Jackie-O feel to me, and if you felt it, you’d fall in love too. It’s super soft. Use code COAST15 on the AVARA site.
These shoes are so cute. They’re a kitten heel, suede with the cute bow. I’ve worn them with everything from jeans to dresses.
Do you have a favorite pair out of these three? Have you tried faux leather yet? It’s everywhere right now. Skirts, dresses, jackets, vests, just to name a few.
The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.

I am loving these new styles from Spanx! Faux leather flares are my favorite right now!

I am a huge fan of Spanx but can't get excited about these faux leather pants. I've been looking at them on and off since they got them. They look great on you but I'm concerned about the comfort aspect. I do love the sweater with the bows and about to go check that out. Happy Fall!
