It’s that time of year when parties are going to start appearing on our calendars and that means it’s time for easy holiday outfit ideas. Gibsonlook released a new holiday line that has some really pretty mix and match pieces that will work for casual parties, or more formal events. Some of them are available in other colors, but I off course chose black. These pieces can be dressed up for evening or down for day events. You can use my code LISA10 on all of them.
I’ve always loved organza fabric, and this set is a beautiful plaid organza material. The blouse has a removable tie. It and the skirt can be paired together like I have here, or you can wear them as separates. Both look great with black or off white. I’m wearing XS top, and small skirt.
This pair of shoes is also super cute, and you can wear them with a dressy outfit or casual. They look super cute with jeans too. You can use the code COAST15 for 15% off.
I love these two pieces. The velvet pants have some stretch to them and are beautiful and comfortable. The sweater is one of my favorite pieces from last year. It was brought back this year in black and champagne. I have both, and they look adorable with jeans as well as the dressy pants and skirts. The organza sleeves are beautiful and a good option for anyone who doesn’t like to have their upper arms showing. I’m wearing small pants and an XS in the top.
See….I told you they were cute together. I love this combination too.
There is a lot to love about this dress. The one shoulder style has been trending for a while and I am a fan. The ruching is also a detail that’s trending and very flattering. This dress comes in red if you are feeling daring. This one seems to run small. I’m in a small and it’s very tight and the armhole is cut small, so I’d suggest sizing up.
I am wearing this piece of shapewear from Spanx underneath and it worked perfectly. You can use LISAXSPANX for 10% off.
Do you have parties on the calendar already? Think about
The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.
