Hi friends! Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. This is a fun post because I adore this outfit. I’m going to show you how to wear lavender in winter from Cabi. I’ve loved Cabi clothing for years. We had an outlet in CA, but it closed and I was sad. They have the most beautiful styles, but up until recently you could only purchase through a stylist and that meant going to a party. I love a party, but I don’t like buying on impulse. I have to mull it over and then decide. I actually told the girls in Anthro that the last time I was in, I try on, and then leave. If I continue to think about a certain piece, then I know I really want it.
Also, shout out to the beautiful sunset behind me. I couldn’t have planned that any better.
Sometimes you see an outfit that looks perfect and then you try it on and…not so much. Well that is totally not the case here. I love every single thing about this. The sweater is so soft and comfy, and I love the lavender color. I’ve been a fan of lavender for a while, but don’t wear it frequently. Cabi seems to run on the big size, so I’m wearing an XS in the sweater and coat and a 4 in the pants. I almost think I could have gone down to a 2 in the pants.
THE COAT!!! Seriously, this one was literally love at first sight. I knew it was beautiful on the website, but when I tell you it’s equally as beautiful in real life, you’ll just have to believe me. Picture it with a pair of black work pants. Wouldn’t that be stunning?
A cropped wide leg pant is one of my favorite silhouettes, and I have quite a few in my closet. These are a beautiful wide whale corduroy with a button front. I like button front pants because I think they actually help minimize a tummy. I used the beautiful scarf as a belt for added interest.
The necklace and earrings are also Cabi, and the necklace is really a two-fer. You can unconnect them, and wear them each alone. The earrings are a cute chain style, and in case you haven’t heard, silver is making a comeback.
Have you ever been to a Cabi party? Do you own any Cabi pieces yourself.
The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.
Have you signed up for my newsletters yet? You can do it at the bottom of this page. On Monday’s I share last weeks top 6 sellers, and on Friday’s there is a complete list of sales. There are usually things included in the newsletter for subscribers that don’t appear on the blog.😉 It’s kind of like Instagram. I share things all week long in stories and on the grid that don’t necessarily make it here.
Have a wonderful Monday!!!!

I love this outfit! Lavender is unexpected this time of year, nice way to stand out. That coat is so pretty and that sweater looks so soft, I can just imagine how good it feels!
