It’s November 1st! I can barely wrap my mind around it. Today new holiday styles from Avara are launching on the website. I was able to get some ahead of time to share with you. These are just some of what’s available, and they can be mixed and matched, dressed up or down, and even worn after the holidays for some of them.
NOTE: Several things I want to let you know. My code for AVARA is COAST15. It’s been reset so you can use it today. (It can only be used once every 3 months, and then it gets reset and you can use it again.) So if you want multiple pieces or pieces not holiday, order everything at once to get the discount. SIZING: I’m wearing smalls in all of the pieces. SHOES: The black mule with the bows are so cute and they look darling with everything. I’ve worn them dressed up, and dressed down with jeans. The heel height is perfect. You can also use COAST15 on that website. CLUTCH: The adorable clutch is such a good size. It holds more than the tiny ones, and the flower on the front is beautiful. Use COAST to get 15% off this website. JEWELRY: I love the Julie Vos statement pieces I’m wearing and these make great gifts for moms, grandmother, and sisters. They are beautiful, make a statement and wear well.
Velvet is such a great holiday fabric. These 3 pieces (sold separately) can be worn numerous ways, but I love the monochromatic column look. The cranberry color is scrumptious. Think about pairing the blazer with jeans for a casual lunch with friends or layering over a dress for work. These pieces come in 3 colorways.
There are two things I wanted you to see here. The sweater is beautiful with the pearl detailing and knitted pattern, but look how cute it is with the velvet pants. This is another piece that could be worn so many ways. Pair it with jeans, cords, or faux leather.
If you haven’t heard, metallics are all over the place. I was a little hesitant, and it took me a second to get with it, but now I’m loving them. This skirt is so pretty and reads festive. It’s also available in silver. The bow on this sweater is darling, and would really look cute with the silver skirt, but also works with the gold. I wore this sweater last year with black faux leather pants to a holiday get together. Yes, the sweater was such a good seller last year, they brought it back. If between sizes, I’d suggest sizing up in this one.
Here’s another way to wear the skirt and the blazer. I just switched out the cami. These camis are well made and fully lined with adjustable straps. I added a Julie Vos statement necklace (the pendant was turned and I didn’t catch it 🤦🏼♀️). The clutch I’m carrying is so cute and such a good size. I love the way you slip your hand through the front for easy carrying and the beautiful flower makes such a statement.
This is another velvet blazer in a beautIful bright pink. It has ruching on the inside and outside seams of the arm, which I appreciate because you don’t have to fool with pushing them up or using the hair tie trick to keep them in place. It comes in extended sizing XS – XXXL. This makes an easy outfit when paired with the faux leather split front pants from Spanx. These fit kind of like leggings and are so comfortable, but fun. I’m wearing a PM. Use LISAXSPANX on the entire Spanx website for 10% off.
PLAID! I love a good plaid. This blouse is so good. I really like the sleeve length and the puff detail. This one is also ruched down the side. The length of this one is good too because you can tuck it, or where it out. Both of these pants are faux leather from Spanx.
PLAID BLOUSE || BLACK ANKLE PANTS (CODE LISAXSPANX) || BLACK SPLIT LEG PANTS (CODE LISAXSPANX) || SHOES (USE CODE COAST15) || NECKLACE || BRACELET || BRACELET || BRACELET || EARRINGS || CLUTCH (CODE COAST15)
Okay, send me all the holiday invites because I’ve got all these beautiful new holiday styles from Avara to wear. HA! Did you have a favorite? I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about all the velvet and the metallic, but I absolutely love them!
If you’re looking for more styles from Avara, I have all of my previous looks and links on this page.
The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.
