New Styles from Loft

In case you haven’t heard me say it before, LOFT does such a good job with flannel. It’s some of the softest out there, and you know how I am when it comes to soft textures. #bigfan This dress is super cute, and it has these little ties at the waist that you can pull and tighten if you want to emphasize your waistline.

This is a flannel shirt dress, and it’s also super cute. These would both be good for teachers. I paired it with a cute pair of booties, but you could also wear it with a pair of cowboy boots or knee boots. You can remove the tie belt and wear it straight or replace with a leather belt. It would look cute layered with a vest or a longer cardigan too.

I thought this denim shacket was so cute…and it is. I really like the tie belt at the waist, but you can always remove that and wear it open like a more traditional shacket. I layered it over a ribbed turtleneck. I’m so happy to see turtlenecks making a comeback. Back in the early 2000’s I think I wore a turtleneck almost every day in the winter.

The black faux leather pants are reallllly good. They are butter soft, look cute, and give any outfit a dressier or edgier look depending on what you pair with them. They also have a similar pleated pair that’s on sale.

This green velvet dress is so pretty. It sold out, restocked and now it’s sold out again, but I wanted you to see it in cases it restocks again. You can check back here and click “dress” below the photo to check on it. There is a very similar black one available.

I’ve had this jacket a few years, and they keep bringing it back. What does that tell you? It’s G O O D ! This year it also comes in a couple of other colors. This is so cute with jeans, faux leather, and you could even pair it with a pair of joggers and cute sneakers for a fun look. Kent and I were planning to fly to Oklahoma today to visit his mom, but the assisted living facility sent out a call yesterday and there’s a Covid outbreak, so we cancelled that.

The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.

I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.

GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!

YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL

YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.

BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.

LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.

HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.

BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.

GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.

CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
