Hi friends! I was out and about Monday so I thought I’d share some new J. Crew Factory holiday looks with you. Let me just say, there were some reallllly cute pieces, and I loved so many of the ones I tried on.
I’m not going to lie, I’ve been thinking about these pants ever since I had to take them off. I think they may have been my favorite pair I’ve tried on this season. They run TTS (but no extra room). I’m hopeful they’d stretch a little. If you run between sizes, I’d size up. I have on a 28.
The sweater is sweet with the ruffle neck and comes in a variety of colors. I’m wearing a small.
You can totally amp up the look by adding a scarf. They have a lot of pretty plaids to choose from, and these would make great gifts.
I think J Crew is known for their flannels. They are soft, fit well and all around classic. Here are 3 ways to wear one, that are also a good example of how you can wear the flannel and sweater for different temperatures.
This top is oh so cute. I’m always smitten with plaid at Christmas, and particularly J Crew/J Crew Factory plaids. They just really know how to do it. This is a cotton top that’s lined with a key hole button on the back. Look how cute it is with a pair of jeans, but I’m also going to show it dressed up.
See! These are really cute velvet pants. They run big. I have on a 6 that I had tie some loops together in the back with a bracelet. HA! I love velvet this time of year. They make a blazer that matches these pants if you’re looking for a suit style. I’m wearing a small top, but I think XS would be better. (you’ll see…)
They had a very similar version of this top last year that I loved. It’s so cute. There’s a beautiful black tie that you tie in a bow at the neck. The neck has a cute ruffle, so there’s no shortage of details. I’m wearing an XS in the top.
This is such an elegant look and I feel like it would also be beautiful for New Year’s Eve. It may have been my favorite of these J. Crew Factory holiday looks.
I’m wearing an XS in the top. In the plaid top that was the same style I had on a small.
I’ve been a fan of J. Crew coats for a long time and have one myself. The City Coat comes back year after year. It’s truly a classic. They always have some fun colors and I love this green. It’s more vibrant and Kelly green in person (which I love). It comes in classic neutrals like gray, black, camel and red, but also a pretty light blue. I’m wearing XS.
I bought a dress similar to this one a few years ago in this camel and off white color-blocked. It’s crazy soft, but I wore it and then gave it to Katie. When I got this one off the rack I knew the length was going to be wonky on me, so I looked for a belt but couldn’t find one. I used the scarf so we could get an idea of how it would look and I think it’s better proportions for me. If you’re taller, you’d be okay with the longer length. As you can plainly see, I’m able to entertain myself when out alone. LOL I think this belt would be a good option.
Did YOU have a favorite look. I swear I wanted to bring them all home with me…but my closets are bursting at the seams…as you can imagine. I know, boohoo for me. Honestly, it does stress me out!!!
The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.
