Easy Styles from Banana Republic Factory

Happy Friday! We made it through the first work week of 2024 and today I’ve got some easy styles from Banana Republic Factory. Have you shopped there recently? They almost always have a good sale going and some really cute and classic pieces. Currently they have up to 70% off, plus an extra 20% off.

All three looks I’m wearing the same pair of jeans. I really like them. They have a nice amount of stretch, are a dark wash (which is flattering and can easily be dressed up) and they have the cutest detail on the side at the hem. Oh, and did I mention they are mid-rise? I love a mid-rise jean. I think they are much more flattering than a high waisted jean, and if you’re short waisted (like me), then double points.

Fit tip: I’m wearing an 8P, but I would prefer a 6P. When I order petites in pants, I always size up, because I find petites to be cut smaller all over. I don’t feel like these are

Now let’s talk about the sweater. It’s a classic. A cable knit turtleneck. You can wear the turtleneck turned out/down the traditional way, or use the trick that surfaced last year and turn it inside. This is a soft, but substantial cotton and very cozy. I love the length and slightly boxy feel.

Okay, so this one is called a brushed turtleneck sweatshirt. It almost reminds me of a felted wool, and it’s super soft. I adore the contrast knit neck, slight cropped length, and sleeves with yet another cute slit detail.

I kept looking at this adorable flannel until I finally had to order it. It’s not your average flannel. It’s a girlie flannel. HA! Cute ruffle collar, shorter length with a little bit of swing to it. You can still tuck it, but it’s also cute when left out. You could easily turn this into a workwear look with a blazer.

The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.

I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.

GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!

YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL

YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.

BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.

LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.

HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.

BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.

GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.

CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.

Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.

Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.

Have you signed up for my newsletters yet? You can do it at the bottom of this page. On Monday’s I share last weeks top 6 sellers, and on Friday’s there is a complete list of sales. There are usually things included in the newsletter for subscribers that don’t appear on the blog.😉 It’s kind of like Instagram. I share things all week long in stories and on the grid that don’t necessarily make it here.

Have a wonderful Monday!!!!
