Blue Color Trend for Spring

Hi friend! Have you noticed the blue color trend for spring? I feel like I’m seeing a lot of blue and I’m loving it. Specifically, what I’m calling cornflower blue. It’s so pretty and fresh.

This is a sweater from Gibsonlook, and it’s super soft, a slightly open weave and will work from now til…well, it’s practically a year round sweater. Oh, and you can use my code LISA10 for 10% off.

Also, have you noticed all the pants with cute front pockets? I am loving them. This white pair of jeans are from Avara and that means you can get 15% off with my code COAST15.

This style of blouse has been one of my favorites for a couple of years. I have quite a few, and the blue and white stripe is so classic. You could wear it with everything from cut off shorts to pants or a skirt paired with a blazer for work. The ruffle at the neck and sleeve are super sweet and it’s a popover style that doesn’t button all the way down. I personally love that.

This is a new dress from Jude Connally and it’s beautiful. It would be perfect for spring showers, Easter, Mother’s Day or a spring wedding guest dress. You can use the code LISA15 for one purchase from Jude Connally, so if you want more than one piece, grab them all at once.

The necklace is new, and it’s from a brand called Fairchild Baldwin. It’s beautiful, lightweight and has an adjustable magnetic clasp.

The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.

I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.

GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!

YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL

YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.

BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.

LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.

HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.

BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.

GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.

CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.

Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.

Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.

There are usually things included in the newsletter for subscribers that don’t appear on the blog.😉 It’s kind of like Instagram.
