I couldn’t wait to share how to style this Amazon sweater dress. When you order anything from Amazon, you cross your fingers and hope for the best. This sweater dress was all the good things. The knit is so soft and feels high end. The fit is fabulous, and the versatility is amazing. How’s that for using descriptive words? HA! But seriously, it’s a really good dress that comes in a wide variety of colors. 17 to be exact.
Notice the lap/cross-over on the top. It’s generous, and doesn’t require any pinning or fashion tape. That alone is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ worthy. But then add the beautiful pleated skirt. It’s really just such a great dress.
I put on a smoothing boy short style light compression piece to insure no lumps. (Use code LISAXSPANX for 10% off and free shipping) I wear one of these frequently even when smoothing isn’t required. They are also good to wear under dresses that are short for modesty.
I started with accessories. A big chunky necklace, earrings, bracelets and a great bag. This looks good on it’s own, but you can add numerous styles and colors of blazers/jackets for different looks. You could also remove the matching belt, and replace it with a leather belt.
All of these blazers are from Gibsonlook, come in a lot of colors and styles, and you can use my code LISA10 for 10% off all of them.
This is the double breasted blazer. It looks cute both buttoned and unbuttoned. I order smalls in the blazers from Gibsonlook, but XS in all other tops and dresses.
The moto jacket is another cute look and a great way to style the dress.
And lastly, the notch collar blazer. The lipstick red is such a pretty shade of red. It’s not too blue or orange.

The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.
