I Love Pink for Spring

I love pink for spring. I’ve always loved pink, and particularly hot pink, but this spring I’m finding myself wearing it a lot. This outfit is two pieces from Jude Connally that can be worn together and with other pieces. I love the geometric print on this top that, it has a retro feel. It’s made from the signature Jude cloth. It’s stretchy and silky feeling.

GREAT NEWS: I have a discount code that will get you 15% off your first order. Use LISA15

The pants are a Ponte cloth. It’s soft and stretchy. I wear the Spanx Thinstincts under all knit pants, including these. These pants are a great work wear option, and can be styled with various tops and blazers.

NOTE: My shoes are at least 15 years old. They’re a kitten heel and I’m so glad I held on to them. They are perfect with these pieces. Sometimes…SOMETIMES it pays to hold onto things. 😉

This dress is so cute and comfortable. I know all of these pieces are on the pricey side, but the styles will be around for a while. Jude Connally pieces are fun, but classic. I have several dresses like this and I love wearing them. They are great for work, church or casual wear. They would be super cute on vacation too.

Now for the jewelry. Oh the jewelry. I have been wearing Julie Vos for some time. I bought my first piece when she was having a sale. These pieces are just gorgeous, and they range in prices from affordable to a little more expensive. They would be perfect for milestone birthdays for mom, sister, or best friends. These pieces are true statement pieces, and you will love them, and are guaranteed to receive compliments.

Do you love pink for spring like me? Have you tried either of these brands? If you want to see another post on Jude Connally, check out this one.

The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.

I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.

GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!

YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL

YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.

BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.

LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.

HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.

BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.

GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.

CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.

Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.

Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.

There are usually things included in the newsletter for subscribers that don’t appear on the blog.😉 It’s kind of like Instagram.
