Today is part 2 of the new Anthropologie spring try-on. I recently did and it’s all cute dresses. I always find so many cute dresses on the Anthro website.
I tried 3 maxis style and one short and they are all so good. The Somerset dress is a fan favorite and I tried two different ones, just because I couldn’t resist. Every season they come out with new prints and colors, and every season I fall in love.
The first one is this darling citrus print, and I just adore it. The mix of light blue, yellow and green is so pretty. I wear an XS in these dresses and they fit perfectly. I feel like a broken record saying you can dress them up or down, but it’s the truth, and sometimes you might not think of it, but when I say it, it might trigger you to try it.
The second Somerset dress is classic blue and white, The white has this beautiful blue embroidery that is stunning. It would be perfect for work, church, a gender reveal where you want to be more subtle. It would also be perfect for brunch or a bridal or baby shower.
You know I love a shirt dress. This is one of the styles that like the Somerset, Anthro just keeps but brings in new prints and colors. It cute dressed, up or…you guessed it, with sneakers. All of these dresses also have pockets, and you know how we love us some pockets.
The last dress is a darling white dress. It’s actually the short version of the Bettina shirt dress above. It has some pretty trim that makes it special…as if it wasn’t already.
If you didn’t see Monday’s post, it was another Anthropologie try on.

The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.

There are usually things included in the newsletter for subscribers that don’t appear on the blog.😉 It’s kind of like Instagram.
