Sephora Sale and Denim Style

Hi friends! Happy Friday! The Sephora sale starts today, and I have a denim style outfit I love and want to show you.

If you’re not familiar with the Sephora sale, it happens three times a year, in April, August and November. The sale has a different name each time, but the structure is the same. Depending on your “level” (how much you’ve spent in the last year) determines when you get to shop and how great your discount is. This sale runs today through the 15th and it’s called the “Sephora Savings Event”.

• April 5-15: VIB ROUGE shoppers get early access and receive 20% off their purchase
• April 9-15: The sale opens up to VIB and Beauty Insider shoppers on 4/9 and runs through 4/15 for savings of 15% (VIB) and 10% (Beauty Insider)
• April 5 – 15: All members get 30% off Sephora Collection products

Now about that denim style. I’ve never been a huge fan of what they call a “Canadian Tuxedo”, which is denim on denim. I have this darling new denim top, and was changing clothes and stumbled on this look and LOVE it. I think it almost comes off looking like an adorable jumpsuit.

The top is from Anthropologie. I ordered it last year and returned, but had returners remorse and reordered it this year. It’s truly just so cute.

The jeans are my new wide leg crop pull on jeans from Spanx. I’m normally a medium in all Spanx bottoms, but had to get a small in these. One really nice thing about ordering from Spanx (aside from the fabulous styles) is that returns and shipping are FREE and you can use my discount code for 10% off. SHOP DENIM STYLE

The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.

I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.

GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!

YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL

YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.

BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.

LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.

HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.

BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.

GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.

CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
