Am I right? I mean really, who doesn’t love to save money? There are some things I’m willing to splurge on, and some that I’m just as happy to get a more affordable version. There are options for almost everything these days…you just have to do some digging. That’s where I can help. I spent some time over the weekend looking for affordable options to some popular home and fashion items.
I ordered this top from Anthropologie and then saw this other one on Amazon for a fraction of the the price. The fabric contents are different, but the look is the same.
There are a lot of Tuckernuck dress look-a-likes out there and this is a good one. Again, the difference you’ll find with most of them is the fabric content, but the look is the same.
Budha-Girl bangles have been around for a few years, and I’ve loved them. They’re lightweight, TSA proof, soundless, and you can wear them to the pool/beach. They’re pricey…but check out these very affordable look a likes from Amazon.
I love the look of a concrete pot, but if you’re not looking to invest that much, check this one out.
It took me a loooong time to convince myself to get a pair of Tory Burch Miller sandals. I finally did, and I do really love them…so much so, I’ve added several pairs to my closet. If you want the look for less, then this pair is a good alternative. If you do decide to go for it and get the real Millers, I size up a half size.
These front pocket wide leg pants are super cute, on super sale, and they go with so many styles, looks and colors. I’d suggest sizing up one. Shop these looks HERE.
Well under the category of who doesn’t love to save is sales….
The sales are still going, so if you haven’t done your share of ordering yet, no worries, there’s still time.

The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.
Have you signed up for my newsletters yet? You can do it at the bottom of this page. On Monday’s I share last weeks top 6 sellers, and on Friday’s there is a complete list of sales. There are usually things included in the newsletter for subscribers that don’t appear on the blog.😉 It’s kind of like Instagram. I share things all week long in stories and on the grid that don’t necessarily make it here.
Have a wonderful Monday!!!!

I love seeing the spend vs save posts that you do.
One thought on the Spend vs Save is the cost of time and/or money to have the item cleaned and/or washed to wear again. I'm for better material so I don't have to wash or take to the cleaners. That's my humble opinion. Maybe I'm lazy. :-)
