The Birthday Boy

Today is a special day in our house…it’s Kent’s birthday. I’ll be kind and not mention any numbers to protect us both…LOL

We’ve celebrated a lot of birthdays together at this point. For me, he’s been in my life for more of my birthdays than not. (but we’re not talking about me…hahaha)

This picture was really early on in our relationship, and man-o-man how things have changed.

(like no more acid wash jeans…thank heavens)

We’ve gone from the two of us

 To the three of us

And then the four of us

And somehow we blinked and it’s back to the two of us.

Most people don’t get to see this side of Kent, but he’s a funny, goofy guy with his family.

And after 26 years together, I still feel like this.

And thank goodness we still like to be together!

He actually loves to entertain me, and thinks my blog is much better whenever he happens to show up on it. I guess today will be the best post ever in his opinion…LOL

 This is the first birthday we will have ever celebrated by ourselves. Even before the kids were born we celebrated with my parents, but now that we are on opposite sides of the country we don’t have that luxury.

Tonight we are going to his favorite BBQ place which is different for us. Our usual birthday celebration would be me cooking a dinner of his choice and celebrating with at least one of the kids. One thing that will remain the same is there will be a yummy birthday dessert I’m pretty sure.
