Hey y’all!
Well you know how I love a good link up and I’ve been looking for new, fun ones to participate in. (so if you have suggestions, please leave them in the comments. Thanks) Shay and Erika started their Stranded link up last year and this year they’ve changed the theme to
“Workin’ It Wednesdays”.
Every single woman, mama, friend, wife and female in general is workin’ it everyday. We’ve all got a lot going on and maybe, just maybe we can inspire each other if we share how we’re doing it.
Every second Wednesday of the month we’ll meet right here and share. Here’s the list of topics we will be talking about. If you are a blogger you should join in on the fun and link up. If you are a reader, be sure to check out what some of the other busy ladies have to say.
Today we are talking…New Year’s Goals.
I don’t know about you, but when I hear “goals” my mind immediately leaps to “resolutions” and I personally am not a resolution maker. Resolutions just aren’t my thing, but I do however have some goals for myself this year.
So what are my goals?
~one~
I really want to continue to work on this here blog and figure more and more things out. I read and research and work to try and make it better. I occasionally find out a nugget of knowledge from another blogger but for the most part I’m just learning as I go and it’s been a slow process.
I find it to be really hard not to compare myself to others who have been doing this much longer than I have and figured out so many things I’ve yet to do.
Just in the last week I saw this on one of the blogs I was reading and it truly resonated with me. Thank you.
So, I’m going to try my hardest to not compare myself to other and be happy with just how far I’ve come.
I truly appreciate each and everyone of you who takes the time to come here and read and follow along in my little life. I appreciate more than you know when you comment and I love getting to know you.
~two~
Continuing to grow my Rodan + Fields business.
I said yes to this little side gig a little over a year ago and haven’t regretted it for a single second.
If you are looking for something new to try or need to come up with a little (or a lot) of extra money this business might be the answer you are looking for and I’d love to chat with you about it.
OR
Maybe one of your goals for this year is to be healthier. Our health also includes or skin. We have one body and one skin. (that’s a strange sentence, but true)
If you’ve been thinking it’s time to start taking care of your skin I can help. I started using these products and loved them so much I made the change from customer to consultant.

And in case cost is your concern, don’t let that stop you. We have so many options to get you started to fit each individual budget.
~three~
Are you ready for this one?
DRINK MORE WATER
I am so not a water drinker. Never have been. I go through spells where I’m a little better and then I fall off the wagon. I need to get back on.
I came across this list of ways to work more water into my days.
I will tell you that when it’s icy cold it seems easier for me to drink and so my Yeti seems to be the best vehicle for me to use. I also like a really cold bottle of water from the fridge.
So there are my three goals for 2017.
What are your goals?
If making it to Wednesday was one, then CONGRATULATIONS. You did it!
Sometimes you’ve just gotta’ start small.?

I'm not a resolution maker or a water drinker, but I love your list! You can do it!
HA! Thanks Laura!! I had water at lunch today??
I too am new to the blogging world and it is so difficult to learn the "how to's" behind it all. I've searched and scoured the net for answers and have found very little. Also, "Comparison is the thief of joy" is my favorite quote---it can be applied to so many aspects of our lives (especially as women and mom's). Keep up the good work!
Thank you Heather and you too! We will all just have to share the info we find??
My students and I used that goal quote for a door decoration last year! I am working on a big secret goal, so if it pans out, I may have some extra dough to finally try R+F in a few months.
Well I don't know what it is, but I hope it works out!!! (R+F or not?) Good luck!!!
