Hey y’all! Are you ready to finish the week strong? We’re almost to Friday and another weekend. I think it’s going to be a hot one. Oh how I wish we had access to a pool. Oh well, eventually, right?
Last night Katie and I went to the Alameda County fair to see Jana Kramer. (I know I already told you we were going to). If you haven’t already binge watched One Tree Hill and you like to spend some quality time with Netflix, you should consider it. Jana comes on the last few seasons. She’s so stinkin’ pretty and tiny and talented to boot. The whole package it would appear. Fun story. My brothers best friend from high school is married and lives in Nashville where Jana lives. Well his wife and Jana are good buddies. How cool is that?
She performs a great show and seems like the most genuine person. She includes people of all ages and interacts with the crowd.
She had this little guy up on stage and he truly did not crack a smile the entire time.
We got to the fairgrounds and went straight to the amphitheater to get decent seats. (which we did pretty well) It was too hot to think about doing anything else there.
Katie and I both agreed we wanted our legs to look like Jana’s.
This was the first time we’d gone to a concert and we make pretty good concert buddies it I do say so myself.
Now onto a new shirt.
I just adore these empire waist tees made by Free People. Both Macy’s and Nordstrom carry them. I ordered the white one and the green one and they are both so cute and comfy. Here’s the problem. I have narrow shoulders anyway and these are made with a very generous neckline.
They wanted to fit me like this and I just think I’m a little past the “Flash dance” stage in my life so I ended up returning them. I’d say if you are looking for a tee with some personality and are maybe a little younger you should absolutely go for it. These would be perfect.
So what’s on your agenda for today. I am going to attend a memorial service for a sweet lady’s husband who’s in my bible study. Not necessarily a happy thing to do, but a good way to support her and show her we love her. (some other friends are going too)
Hope you have a great day! See back here tomorrow for another round of Friday Favorites.

Wasn't Jana on DWTS? She is beautiful! I feel ya with the tee, I look pregnant in those empire shirts and the generous neckline would drive me crazy, I can't pull that off! Bless your friend's sweet heart, losing her husband, I'll pray for her. I'm sure she'll appreciate your love and support at the memorial.
Happy Friday eve!

Awww, thank you Kellyann. You are so sweet. I know, I can't imagine such a loss. It happened a couple of months ago, but for some reason they are just now having the service. (everyone is CA seems to be cremated so I guess there's no urgency?) YES, Jana was on DWTS. She really was a doll. So adorable. Happy Friday Eve to you too friend!!! XOXO

I need to get an empire/peplum top still! I never can find a decent one. I hate when shirts hang off my shoulders, too! I am actually thinking of donating a shirt in my closet that does this, it drives me crazy! It looks like you had a fun night out with Katie! 🙂

I think Jana use to be in a Christian band, Avalon, back in the day! She and her name look familiar.
