I don’t know about you, but I love looking at new homes and seeing what designers are doing.
While I was in Nashville the Parade of Homes was taking place so we decided it would be fun to go. It was a gorgeous, sunny afternoon so Elizabeth, Katie, Erin & I headed out. There were 7 homes that were new construction on all the same street.
I think this one was about 7,000 sq. ft. We walked in and immediately began to ooh and ahh and these sounds were repeated throughout the rest of the homes as well.
This was the laundry room and what I’d call an auxiliary kitchen. I’d LOVE and auxiliary kitchen, but I’d be happy with a second oven…lol
Check out that gorgeous back splash in the main kitchen.
This pool is what I’d call the perfect size for a backyard. Not too small and not too big. This Goldilocks thought it was just right.
I’m a sucker for a beautiful centerpiece and table settings.
Now this is some serious closet storage.
Katie and Erin were roaming in one direction while Elizabeth and I roamed in another. My phone rang and Katie said “your going to love this room”. You see, I’ve been pinning bunk rooms for quite some time and telling Kent I want one for the “grands” in our next home.
These are so stinkin’ cute. Of course I’d like to find a way to work slides into them somehow.
Each bunk has it’s own little light and switch. Genius!
I love unique ideas for wall decor and thought this was so clever.
These girls were dreaming big.
Okay y’all, see these faces? This closet had an elevator that went to the top of the closet where there was more storage. Their faces summed up our emotions during a lot that afternoon.
I guess you’d call this a smart toilet?! It’s got a control panel. Oh my goodness.
Another picture perfect pool and check out the built in lounge chairs. I’m pretty sure you’d find me here every afternoon during the summer.
This was so clever. Tiny toys and gadgets all painted the same color and attached to tiny nails to poke in the wall.
This is my dream pantry…are you reading this Kent???? I’d love a place to store extra dishes and plug in small appliances.
I’m still on the fence as to how I feel about light fixtures mounted on mirrors. What do you think? Yay or nay?
This was a gorgeous laundry room/office space. I could do some serious blogging in here friends.
I got another phone call from Katie. You guessed it, another bunk room.
Just close the sliding barn doors when the kiddos aren’t there and enjoy your beautiful game room.
This was the last house on the tour and the show stopper. It was around 12,000 sq. ft. Yep, 12,000. That’s a little over 3 of my houses. Wow!
So what do you think? I’ll tell ya’, I always say I wouldn’t want to have to clean a house that big and Kent always responds, “if you have a house that big, you aren’t the one cleaning it”. Good point! He’s so smart.? Seriously, after a day of cleaning I can barely stand up straight these days, so it’s a good thing someone else would be hypothetically cleaning it if it was mine.
Hope you enjoyed coming along for the Parade of Homes.
