Happy Monday friends! Well, I guess I kinda went a little AWOL last week with our trip to Charleston. We had a great time! So much fun spending time with our friends and checking out a new city. The one word that we kept using was “charming”. Charleston is most definitely a charming city. We are happily exhausted. Charleston is a very foot friendly city unless you happen to be the feet. HA! Mine are begging for a break. We walked about 20,000 steps or apx 10 miles 3 days in a row.
Today I’m happy to join the girls from The Blended Blog and share
10 Things You Didn’t Know About Me
I love having these prompts, especially when I’ve been so busy and I haven’t had time to think much about blogging.
You may have missed another post I did, ironically almost exactly a year ago with 10 Random Facts About Me. You can read that here.
These are sometimes hard for me to come up with simply because I’m pretty much and open book and don’t feel like I have any mystique, but here we go.
1 ~ 95% of the time I order the exact same thing at a restaurant. I find something I like and stick with it to keep from being disappointed. Kent loves this, because he says it “bodes well for him”. LOL
2 ~ I could eat my weight in brown bread from the Cheesecake Factory. That stuff is some kind of good!
3 ~ Even though I’m hot all night long and have to keep the air really low in the house, I have to wear PJ’s and have a blanket to sleep.
4 ~ I like dogs, but don’t like to pet them…don’t judge.
5 ~ I love all things chocolate, but I’m not a huge fan of (plain) chocolate ice cream.
6 ~ I don’t like to take baths. I think it might be because I just can’t relax and be still long enough.
7 ~ My kids were born in the same hospital as me, baptized in the same church and attended the same college as I did.
8 ~ I’ve flown more in the last 5 years than in the first 45 years of my life combined.
9 ~ I’ve only been to two other countries. Canada and Mexico.
10 ~ I can’t stand the taste of {any} alcohol. This is really strange considering we live in wine country and the most popular way to socialize is over a glass of wine.
Okay, tell me something about yourself!
Hope your week gets off to a great start!
Love it. I’m not as big of a drinker as I appear on the blog, lol. I am way way nada to plain chocolate ice cream. So glad you had fun, it’s on my list to visit for sure!
Wow, y’all walked a lot! I can’t to hear all about it and the food and fun you had! Brian and I were thinking of going there this fall, we’ll see! I loved reading your 10 things – I think it’s so cool that you and the kids have all those important places in common. That is pretty unusual!
I am way too hot at night to sleep with a blanket but all day long I’m freezing! Brian laughs at me but during the day I’m a freezer and at night I’m a heater!
Love ya!!!

Well, would love to have linked up today but we’re flying to Virginia and I just didn’t have time..I’m with you on the drinking, none at all for me. Always interesting to find out more tidbits about bloggers.
I don’t drink either, but I never have. It does make some “activities” and socializing a bit difficult. haha I’ve been to England, but I’d love to visit other countries someday (including Canada).

Love these! I always order the same thing when I go to restaurants I know so I am never disappointed! My husband thinks I’m nuts! Lol!
And I eat chocolate ice cream, but I’m not a huge chocolate fan in general.
I’ve only been to Canada (a long time ago) and I don’t have any desire to leave the country ?
Not a huge fan of wine either!
Im the same with bath’s – i really cant relax in them! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston
Ditto to #1 and #3 and sort of #10. I stopped drinking when I started having a rash like reaction a few years ago. But I differ on #6 – I love to take a bath! What a fun prompt!
I don’t drink either (and I went to college in Louisiana!!)! The looks l get–yes, I totally get it. Enjoyed this post today!
My favorite ice cream is plain vanilla! I like several flavors but my least favorite would be anything with coconut or chocolate. I never order the same thing at a restaurant (my husband always does). I like to branch out and I know that if I don’t like it, my husband will eat it the next day for lunch because he will eat anything – he just won’t order it!
Oh my goodness, my husband is the same as your number one always ordering the same thing at every restaurant, & I too think the same way as your husband about it!
Ok! So that totally explains the fact why you are always wearing long sleeves and cardis when it’s 100 degrees outside in the summer!! Your house is FREEZING!! Lol! Happy Monday!
I’m dying laughing. Well we don’t even really have to use the air but a few days during the day…I just have to have it cold to sleep. HAHAHA!!! Our temps during the summer are usually in the 80’s and sometimes 90’s+ (that’s when I’m happiest)
I’m the exact same with 1, 2, 4 and 5! PS I recently heard that that Cheesecake Factory bread is going to be sold in grocery stores soon!
Oh yeah! I heard that too and had totally forgotten. Not sure that’s a good thing for me. LOL!
It is sold in Savemarts in my area!
We don’t have those up here 🙁
I was born on Friday the 13th, and so was my mom. But not the same month. I met my husband on AOL (not a chat room!) and I was living in Pennsylvania and moving back to California (where he lived) We have been together for over 20 years and married for almost 17! ok that is more then 1 thing! Happy Monday!
love this… and i used to be like that with chocolate ice cream as well! And im like that with dogs!
Glad to know I’m not alone!!! Happy Monday!
Love.
Thanks Regine. Happy Monday!
I love learning new things about you, Lisa! I think it’s so cool that all your babies were born in the same hospital! I’m on track to have one in Arizona, one in New York, and one in Washington haha the lives we lead 😉
It was so fun for my parents to visit the same nursery where I’d been and see their grand babies. You my friend are making memories all over the country!!! XO
Oh gosh, how did I not know you did not like alcohol? I do know you like caffeine, though! Ha! I guess you are flying more now with the kids at college? You need to travel to Europe next. 🙂 I haven’t been to Canada.

HAHAHA! Not really something you’d know unless we went to a bar or dinner or something. Yes, I’m all about my caffeine. Here’s how I look at the alcohol too. I’d much rather have those calories in the form of chocolate at the end of meal than drink them before. LOL
1, 5 and 6 – you and me, babe. Thanks for sharing these snippets of what 🙂 at makes up the, lovely Lisa! Hugs my sweet, x.
Always happy to give a little insight to the crazy inner workings of my brain. HA!
#6 all the way! I was so excited when our new home didn’t have a master bathroom bathtub! What a waste and extra to clean! Instead it has an amazing shower I love with several water sprayers. And I don’t know what it is about chocolate ice cream, but it doesn’t taste right to me either. Now chocolate pieces in ice cream are a-okay in my book!
Gosh, our house has this big ol’ tub that sticks right out in the middle of the room. Super weird, but now I’m used to it. I totally agree about chocolate pieces in ice cream. Bring it on!
I don’t drink either! I’ve actually never been drunk even. I got tipsy once and it freaked me out, so I was like yeah I’m good haha. #controlfreak I don’t like baths either. And that’s so cool that your kids have been able to have so many of the same milestone experiences as you! xoxo
We are just two peas in a pod you cutie!!! XO
