Happy November 1st! I’m kinda in denial that we are already here and 3 weeks from today is Thanksgiving. Have you digested that yet? That also means 3 weeks from tomorrow is Black Friday, so it’s time to start getting those shopping lists ready to roll.
What are your thoughts on buying the same piece of clothing in different colors and/or prints? I have a tendency to want to do that when I find something I really like and Katie gets all over me for it. “Mom, you don’t need to buy 2 of those”. Um, thanks. Ever had someone tell you that? Well I say, stick with what you like and that’s exactly what I’m doing.
Loft has been having the cutest little sleeveless ruffle shells this year, and I’ve fallen hard for them. I bought my first one this summer and wore it a.lot. It’s cute, it’s comfy, you can dress it up, you can dress it down, I mean what more could you want?
Well they’ve brought out several more prints in the same style and I’m not even kidding when I tell you I ordered every single one. Yep! Well, don’t worry Katie, I only kept 2 more of them. HA!
The black and white dotted version has already proven to be an A+ decision, and this is part of one of two ways I’ve worn two of the pieces in this outfit. What’s the other piece? Well I’m glad you asked. This camel colored sweater. Good heavens it’s soft. The day I took these pictures, I wore it to church and a friend asked me if it was cashmere? Why yes it is. Just kidding. I told her I got it at Old Navy and her jaw nearly hit the floor. The cut of it is perfection. Not too short, not too long, it’s just right, says the Goldilocks wearing it. and since I like to buy things in multiples, I got the sweater in black too, and now I’m eyeing the pinkish one. See, buy what you like if even if your daughter suggests otherwise.?
If I worked outside of the home I think this would be a great option for work wear. You could just as easily throw on a black pencil skirt (check out this leather one) and achieve a slightly dressier outcome and if you want to take it one step further, a blazer would work perfectly with it.

This pendant is my latest addition to my Kendra Scott collection. Remember how you can go in during your birthday month and get a piece for half price? Well this is what I got, and I am loving it. With all the blush and purple tones I’ve been buying, I can see me reaching for this necklace frequently. I also really like to layer my pendants with a smaller, short necklace at my neck. This drusy pendant is one I wear almost every day. Whether I’m wearing a t-shirt or a pretty blouse, I usually have this one on and sometimes I’ll even have this smaller one with it.
I also got these beautiful earrings as a birthday gift from one of my friends. She knows I love KS and she’s not a big jewelry wearer herself, so she takes me in for her birthday and lets me pick out my birthday present. How’s that for friendship? Don’t you wish you had a girlfriend like that? Some of the KS earrings are just a little heavy for my liking, but these are pretty light and will go with so many of my other pieces.
This look can easily be taken from work to play and I’ll share that next week.

I don’t often purchase more than one of an item, unless, of course, it’s a workhorse. Adore your new KS pieces. The smaller necklace is on my daughter’s Xmas wish list.

I want to reach right into the computer and grab that necklace it is so good! And those earrings are great too. Well the shells from Loft are so cute and look terrific on you. I have never owned a real cashmere sweater so maybe I need to head on over to ON and grab that one since it’s a good dupe! This is such a great fall look!

You’re so right about this being the perfect work outfit – this is generally how I dress with a few odd outfits thrown in to keep things mysterious. LOL I need to check out those shells though, they look like they’d be perfect for the Louisiana weather. And, yes, we all need a friend like yours — that KS jewelry is beautiful.
