Cute Summer Shorts Outfit

Happy Wednesday friends. Remember back in the day when you could go out wherever you wanted, whenever you wanted with no worries…a few long short months ago? Well hopefully this summer will be a reprise of that, and we’ll be able to wear all the clothes we’ve been buying while in quarantine, like this cute summer shorts outfit.

Y’all know I don’t wear shorts frequently, but I do like to have a pair or two, for when we’re on vacation and it’s hotter than the hinges of hades. I mean, summer in the south is hot and humid. Am I right? These are curvy Riviera shorts with a 6′ inseam. They fit fantastic, and are 50% off right now. I have good luck with the curvy cut pants and jeans from Loft.

This cute little gingham peplum top is from, you guessed it, Target and only $15. I got this color, and it also comes in black and white. Katie got that version. I think it looks really cute paired with these shorts, but will be just as cute with white jeans, jean shorts, black pants, or well, almost anything. It could easily be made office appropriate by adding a cardigan or denim jacket.

I am somewhat smitten with these leopard sandals (currently on sale for under $50) Confession: I’ve been looking at them since last summer. I have a pattern of wanting something, and just continuing to watch it. What the heck is that about? HA! I think it has something to do with the indecisive streak that I have. I love the leopard print, and the platform sole makes them comfortable. They give the look and feel of a heel, with the comfort of a flat. #score

To finish off this cute summer shorts outfit, I added some of my favorite accessories. A Kendra Scott necklace, Victoria Emerson wrap bracelet, Nickel + Suede earrings, and my cute new hat.
