It’s happening! People are starting to go on vacations, and I’m here for it. Sign me up! I’m pretty much counting the days weeks until ours. I asked Kent yesterday if when this whole fiasco started, he had any idea it would go on this long? I don’t think either of us did. Did you? I’m hoping things will be semi-normal by the time we go on vacation, but at this point, it’s anybodies guess. Today I’ve gathered up everything you’ll need for a day at the beach from Amazon.
So let’s start at the beginning. Of course you’ll need a good bathing suit. Lucky for everyone, there are all kinds of great suits on the market at all different price points.
And what’s a good suit without a good cover-up? I’m too old to be riding down in an elevator in my swimsuit. It’s also great to have a cover-up close by so when you want to make a donut run, you can get to it.
A cute beach bag to carry all the necessities in.
Sun protection from head to toe, but a hat protects more than your skin, they also protect your hair and scalp.
Sunglasses
Beach Towels! I like oversized beach towels, that are nice and soft. The round version seems like it would be great for laying on the beach and keeping the sand at bay. Beach towels also make great gifts for grads.
And just to round things out, earbuds for listening to music, an insulated tumbler to keep your drink cold and ice from melting, and shoes that can take the water. You don’t want to ruin your favorite sandals in the sand and water.
If you happen to be a mom with kids still at home, and you take them to the pool frequently, having a big bag that keeps all the goggles, sunscreen and toys together and ready to go is a huge help and time saver. I had one, and then I’d just throw in the fresh towels, and we were off…oh and of course ALL THE SNACKS. HA!
I love that everything you need for a day at the beach can be ordered on Amazon, and on your front steps with a couple of days. It’s almost too easy.
A beach bag, with a tumbler, and hat or sunglasses would also make a great gift for any woman or teen in your life. Maybe throw in a couple magazines for fun.

Lots of great finds! I had a round beach towel in high school and thougth that was genius that I could just rotate my position throughout the day and not have to move my towel.
