Hey gang and happy Friday to you! We’re having a 3 day weekend at our house. Kent is off today, so a long weekend it is….like the last 3 months haven’t been one long weekend. HAHAHAHA! Before we start relaxing, how about some Friday Favorites? I’ve managed to round up some fun things for you.
I picked this pegboard up in the dollar spot at Target months ago. I had been using it to hang my N&S earrings, but I realized the other day it came with these little hooks that are just perfect for my Victoria Emerson bracelets. I don’t think they have anymore of these, but keep an eye out. Who knows when they could show back up. You could probably easily make one, but if that’s out of your wheelhouse, I found some on Etsy for you. Check out Nickel & Suede’s earring of the month here. Does anyone else get giddy when you open a brand new cosmetic? They are so pretty and fresh. I’ve been dying to try a Laura Mercier product, and I’m certainly not disappointed. This highlighter is the perfect, subtle highlighter for checks, forehead and nose. I found this one at Costco of all places, but if you don’t have access to a Costco, you can purchase it here. PS, Costco also had several NARS products too.
It’s no secret how much I love my tiered trays. Well I sent my mom one for Mother’s Day, and look how cute she decorated it. If you have yet to get on the tiered tray bandwagon…it is time!? They are so versatile, and fun to decorate.
I was sent this Ole Henriksen 3 Mega Wonders kit to try. I’ve tried one of their other products, an eye cream, and liked it. These all have Vitamin C and are specifically made to combat dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles, and loss of firmness and elasticity. I’ve been using them in the morning in addition to my normal evening skincare routine with my Rodan + Fields products. Let me assure you that I am a R+F fan all the way, but it’s always fun to try new products. These smell so good…like orange, and I can use them in the morning without them making my skin oily. I don’t use a moisturizer during the day due to the slick factor, but these are working, so I’m pleased. They are vegan and cruelty free too.
I’ve been sharing my quest for new running shoes on Instagram. I ordered the Brooks Adrenaline on the left first, and when I put them on I thought they were awesome. Then I used them on my elliptical and realized the arch wasn’t high enough to support my foot. Next I ordered the Brooks Ghost. Katie and Kent both wear these, (apparently a lot of y’all do too) and the arch is definitely better, but I’m still not sure if these are “the ones”. I’ve now ordered a pair of Saucony to try. I’ll keep you posted.
Do you like my new jammies? Aren’t they cute? Y’all know I’m a huge fan of all things Soma, including their Cool Nights pajamas. I’ve replace all my old pjs with these. They are so comfortable and soft, and I really do think there is something to the “Cool Nights” technology. Now that I’ve changed to these jammies, that means all my “intimates” are from Soma. Those tiered trays are the best and keep thinking of getting another. I wear Saucony shoes because the toe box is wider - you know I have Fred Flinstone feet, lol. Enjoy your long weekend!!

I wear Saucony and really like them but quite a few other people in my run group like the Ghost. When the quarantine is over you should go to a running store and get fitted. It helps SO much!
Thanks Laura! I go get fitted every couple of years.?? I wore Saucony for 10+ yrs and last year when I went, I got a pair of Mizuno. Loved them, but the new model cut into my ankle....so, that’s why I’m on this crazy quest. It’s so hard to know, until you actually use them. I came pretty close to ordering a few of Soma's pjs when I tried out a few of their bras last month. I will definitely be placing another order soon as I really loved those few pieces I got.
