Howdy y’all! Can you tell I’m back in the south? You can take the girl out of the south, but you can’t take the south of the girl. Yes ma’am. I’ve got some fun fall fashion from Macy’s to share with you today. I was in our store recently, and had the opportunity to sneak in a dressing room and try a few things on. (more on that later.;) I’m actually going to make this a two parter for both our sakes. I don’t want you to get bored, and it’s a lot to fit in to one post.
When I was walking around the store looking for things to try on, I kinda got stuck in the INC. section. They had so many cute pieces, and I wanted to bring most of them home with me. I’m trying to resist buying all that much these days, since I barely leave my house. I mean, how dressed up do I need to be to go to WalMart, Target or Trader Joe’s. You know what I’m saying?
First up was this absolutely cuter than cute pair of boyfriend jeans with distressing. For those of you who aren’t huge fans of distressing, these might change your mind. They have the cutest leopard fabric behind the holes. So not only are they more modest, they have a fun vibe. I wore them with several different tops, so today lets stick with the outfits that have the jeans in common.
This brown ribbed cross front sweater is the perfect companion for these jeans. I mean seriously. They look so cute together. I haven’t worn this style sweater in years, and now I’m wondering why not? It comes in a wide variety of colors, (11 to be exact) and makes for a great closet staple. These sweaters will easily layer under a blazer for the office, and look cute with dress pants or skirts. You can also tuck them in or wear them out like I am.
How about cashmere? Are you a cashmere fan? Would you believe I’m not…or at least I wasn’t until I tried this sweater on. I had a cashmere sweater once that made me itch, so I returned it. I was hesitant when I picked this out to try on, but boy was I glad I did. It is so stinkin’ cute. The fair isle pattern is trending, and it also takes me back to middle school. I loved this style back in the early 80’s. This is an updated version with cuffed balloon sleeves that bring it right up to date. They are a really fun and cute detail.
This next top was maybe my favorite thing I tried on, and I’m so sad I can not find it online. I’m a sucker for a good plaid, and this one almost stopped me in my tracks. And talk about sleeves! Can you even with these balloon sleeves? They are just so perfect, and make such a great statement on an otherwise simple silhouette. It’s also really fun for some very subtle print mixing with the leopard peeking through on the jeans
I had my suede mules on with these jeans, but I think you could easily slip into a pair of booties and look just as cute.
I also found this darling maxi dress. Did you notice is has pockets? If I was talking about this to you, you know I would have had to sing the word “pockets“. Hahaha! The material on this dress feels exactly like the material on the Amazon dress I shared last week. It’s so soft and buttery with a beautiful easy flow drape. It has a slight empire waist, puff sleeves and a very flattering split neckline. On the website the model wearing it must be a lot taller than me, so you can see how it looks as more ankle length.
It had been a while since I’d strolled through Macy’s, but I was so impressed with these pieces. I’ve got a whole other set to share with you soon.

I love both those sweaters! Macy’s has always been one of my go to stores; it was always my grandmother’s favorite and she could easily spend the whole day there!
