Hi gang! Today we’re going to talk white jeans, and I have 5 fall looks with white jeans to show you. Now if you’re a southern girl like me, it may have taken you a while to get to the place you could do this without cringing, or feeling like you were totally breaking ALL. THE. RULES. That’s exactly how I felt up until not too long ago. When you grow up following the now white after Labor Day rule the majority of your life, it’s hard wired in…much like my accent. However, I’m hoping that today you’ll see it’s not rocket science to transition them into fall, and this is just a drop in the bucket. I see so many cute outfits with them and try to make a mental note. I just recently started a “white jeans” Pinterest board for inspiration you can follow here.
Before we get to the outfits, let’s start with finding the right pair of white jeans. Now that they’ve become more mainstream all year long, you can find them year round. Whoop! All of mine are from Loft. Theirs are made of a fabric that’s thick enough to cover up the multitude of sins underneath. Trust me when I say it, took a long time to finally figure out the best brand “for me”. I can’t currently link to Loft to make commissions, but you can find their white jeans here.
WHITE JEAN OPTIONS
I’ve heard several influencers say they always size up in white jeans, and honestly that sounds like, well, sound advice. I have two different sizes in mine, and I wear both. Wit and Wisdom makes white jeans, and I think I’d definitely try the size up method in those.
The first two looks are more of a neutral/monochromatic look, and I love that feel with white jeans. I paired my Gibson cozy almost fleecy sweatshirt with them. You know I’m all about soft, and if you are too, grab one of these tops. Not only are they cute with jeans, but they’re legging friendly and on sale.
Next all I did was add my new ruana from Target. I knew this would be the absolute best travel piece, and I was soooo right. I wore it to fly in the other day, and it was perfect. It’s also a great layering piece for over a sweater. This is the kind of thing I like to have for grabbing when we go out in the evening or the movies….if that ever happens again.
Y’all have seen this same outfit, but with blue denim. I just wanted to show you how easily it translates to white denim. The addition of the booties makes it really fall friendly.
Next up is this beautiful plaid poncho also from Target. It should come as no surprise that it’s insanely soft. It has a slight boat neck, so it’s super flattering, and the fringe is just plain fun. The colors can lean toward taupe or even some grays, so it’s a great neutral to have. You could also pair it with some fun snakeskin or leopard booties/mules.
And the last look is the burgundy poncho I grabbed a few weeks ago when Target was having their 20% off sale. This one is lightweight, and also a perfect throw on layer. Our temperatures here, lend themself to wearing something like this all winter, usually without a jacket. The weather in California is the one thing I will miss when we move on. It’s basically the perfect weather 3/4 of the year. The winters aren’t even bad, I just happen to love the temps to be warm. This is another one that is legging friendly, and also works great with black or traditional blue denim.
These leopard mules are sooooo good. Seriously, they are so dang comfortable. The leather is super soft. The chain adds just the right, somethin’ somethin’, and they are on sale!!!
So now I have to ask the question. Which side are you on? Are you wearing white jeans after Labor Day?
