Hey y’all! I’m comin’ at ya’ from Nashville, and it’s time for Friday Favorites. Honestly, just being here is a favorite, so that counts as number one. HA! I’ve got a bizarre hodgepodge for you. Like I always say, you never know what’s going to happen when I sit down to write one of these. There are a few things I’ve seen and used recently around the house that I keep meaning to share, so today is the day.
Don’t you just hate the stickers that places like TJMaxx and Marshall’s put on things? They are a beast to get off, and even once you do get it off, there’s usually some kind of sticky residue. There are lots of things you can use to remove that yuck, but one of my all time favorites is something my mom always had at home. Sure Clean. It’s great at removing waxy or sticky substances, and it’s not greasy like Goo Gone. Don’t get me wrong, I have Goo Gone under my kitchen sink just like a lot of you probably do, but this is something you might want to pick up for the future.
This is another weird one, but I think you’ll thank me later for sharing it. We had something that was making our fridge stink. Not proud about it, but it happens to the best of us. This is another product my mom swears by. Odo Ban. Seriously, I can’t tell you how many people I’ve told about this stuff. You can use it anywhere there’s a bad smell, but it’s particularly good for refrigerators. I just spray some on a dish cloth and set it in the fridge to do it’s thing. Within a few hours, the smell is magically gone. It’s supposed to remove smoke smell, pet odors, all kinds of things.
I finally got on the layering rug train for the front door, and I love it. I had to order a larger one that most of what I’ve seen which is ironic because our porch is small. Somehow the standard size just didn’t look right. I found the “hello” rug at Marshall’s or TJM and was so excited. It’s a larger size as well, so they look great layered together.
I introduced my friend Elizabeth to Quest Peanut Butter cups yesterday, and let’s just say she’s a fan. If you’re new around here, I’ve shared these before because they are seriously good. If you practice a low carb diet, these are the answer to your prayers. They also have fiber and a good amount of protein, so they are the perfect snack or treat. Get ya’ some.?
And there you have it, the end of this weeks edition of it’s time for Friday Favorites. I hope y’all have the best weekend. Kent is flying in today to spend the next with me here. Let’s just say we’re practicing for retirement, but he’s working remotely. LOL So I guess really, I’m practicing for his retirement. HA!
If you missed yesterdays Target share week post, see it here.

Sure Clean sounds like a sure winner! I end up getting Goo Gone on things I don’t want it on, lol. Yay for the layered mat! You’ll never go back to just one, lol. Glad your other half arrives today. You all have the sweetest time with the fam! Hugs! xo

I just love the look of the layered door mat. Unfortunately, the straw mats stay perpetually moist in the humidity here. Thanks for the tip on the odor ban. Have a wonderful time in Nashville!

I love the look of the mats too, but they track in. I finally caved and got another though. XO

Your doormat is SO cute! You can find some real gems at Marshall’s, TJM, and Home Goods (do you have that on the West Coast?)!
Lisa Richardson says
Thanks and yes you can! Oh yes, we have Home Goods and I love it! XO
