Hey friends! So this blog post about Christmas time this and that is coming from our Chit Chat Chic last night. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, Chit Chat Chic is a weekly LIVE that I do with a group of girlfriends on Instagram every Tuesday night at 7:00 CST. Cammi, Cindy, D’Arcy and Michelle. These are the girls I went to Utah with and we’ve built our own little tribe to encourage each other and work together. It’s fantastic. Last night was my night to host and we talked about various things related to Christmas, so I’m sharing them here with you today.
First up, have you finished your Christmas shopping? Me? Well, I’ve made a good dent, but I still need to finish Katie, which is ironic because she’s kinda the easiest. HA!
Have you ever hosted a Christmas Cookie Swap? I hosted one for a couple of years for my bible study friends, and it was a lot of fun. I also attended one once when we lived in Richmond. You can read about mine here.
I have two favorite Christmas cookies recipes. The first is for White Chocolate Dipped Molasses Cookies. These are so delicious and easy. You can find the recipe and story behind them here.
The second is a good old fashioned cut out sugar cookie. I love these. You can find the recipe here.

Let’s talk red lips and nails for a minute. I am not a person who can pull off a red lip. I look like a cross between and clown and kid who found mommy’s lipstick. A bold lip just isn’t me. But my friends can rock a red lip with the best of them. You can shop the top 12 red lippies according Harpers Bazaar here.
I do about once a year during the holidays do a red nail. Here are some of the most popular ones according to Cosmopolitan and word of mouth.
I asked the girls last night if they’d bought anything new for the holidays. I was in LOFT returning a few weeks ago and I think they had just put out this adorable velvet jacket. As soon as they had a 50% off sale, I immendiately hit add to cart. I love it, and it goes with everything.
We also discussed appetizers, but the Brie recipe I spoke about is in California. I’ll try to get it and then share it with you. I think that’s a wrap for today. See you on Friday!
Now go check out the girls posts to see their take on our Christmas time this and that.

We are so on the same page right now, Blog Mom! “I look like a cross between a clown and kid who found mommy’s lipstick” is 100% me in red lipstick, I currently have red nails (a color I too gravitate toward during the holidays), and I just got a pair of velvet leggings from Loft on Cyber Monday (and I never shop at Loft!). Great minds think alike!! 😀 Hope you’re having a great weekend! xoxo

When I initially commented I clicked the -Notify me when new feedback are added- checkbox and now every time a remark is added I get four emails with the identical comment. Is there any method you may take away me from that service? Thanks!
