Hi friends!!! Happy Friday to you. Today I’m styling a Fair Isle Sweater Dress for you. I’ve been looking for a sweater dress for a few months, and I’m so happy I finally found one. What’s makes it even better, is it was on sale. It’s from Loft, and so you and I both know that means things are pretty much always on sale.
I first styled it with my tall taupe colored boots. I love these boots. I wish they were still in stock. The heels is such a good height and I love the pointy toe. This pair is very similar. I like the length of the dress, but if you want it a little shorter with a little more shape, you can add a belt like I did below.
For cooler days you can easily swap to black tights and black boots or booties. The booties I am wearing are the perfect heel height. They are comfortable but still a heel. I like how you can wear a bootie like this with tights and have the illusion of a tall boot. They are very versatile and keep me from needing another pair of knee height boots. BTW…these tights are also from Loft and have a little control top in them, but aren’t uncomfortable.
I feel like my eyes are about to close in all these pictures. HA! Not sure what that’s about. Anyway, this wrap/ruana from Chico’s is the perfect topper for this dress. It’s super soft, an extra layer and adds some pattern mixing into the equation. You can catch a glimpse of the inside, and great news…it’s reversible. So two for one.
So how do you feel about styling a Fair Isle sweater dress? I’m loving that the Fair Isle style has circled back around. It totally takes me back to middle school. Anybody else?
