Hi friends!!! What’s something you love to do? Maybe shopping with your girlfriends? We did a little of this on our trip to NOLA a couple of weeks ago, and I thought I’d share a few of the highlights today. This is also part 2 of what I wore in New Orleans.
We were hosted by a shopping center called Perkins Rowe. I’m pretty sure it’s owned by the same group as one I’ve been to in San Jose, CA called Santana Rowe. It didn’t occur to me when I heard the name, but when we were walking around, I realized it felt familiar. This was a really nice shopping center and we had a couple of great meals there. For the restaurants, you can refer to back to this post.
At Perkins Rowe we visited two stores. Versona and Krewe. These are both brands I’ve heard of, but had never been in a retail store.
Versona is a boutique style store on a larger scale and at more affordable price points than many boutiques. They have clothing, shoes, jewelry, accessories and some home goods. I found out there’s one not far from where I live in Nashville, so I’ll definitely have to make a trip to shop it. I tried on a few different pieces and bought a cute black blouse.

The short sleeve sweater is super cute and also comes in black. I loved the denim dress, but it was just a little too short for my age. I hate saying that, but it’s true.😉 The white tunic is made of the gauze material you know I adore. I think it would make a great swim cover up for the summer. It’s got a nice long length. The black top below is the one I brought home with me. It’s going to be super cute as soon as the temps warm up a little more.
Have you heard of KREWE Eyewear? I hadn’t until we discussed it for this trip, and then I saw one of their adorable tiny house style stores on a recent photo shoot in Nashville. They offer a great selection of glasses and sunglasses that are higher end, but still affordable. We had a ball trying on all different styles and helping each other decide what looked best. I narrowed it down to the 3 pairs below. Which pair do you think I got? Spoiler…just scroll down.

And the winner was….
Cindy actually already owned this pair and I loved them on her. Cammi and I both ended up bringing these home with us. They’re so fun. I love that the large size covers more of my face, and they are different than any of my other sunglasses. They’ll look great this summer with all of my fashion posts.
Our next stop was Town Center to visit Loft. (follow this Loft @loveloft_batonrouge )You know I love me some Loft and so do the rest of the girls. They had pulled a bunch of clothes for us to try on, and we also went through the store and grabbed things that we liked. We had so much fun in the dressing room modeling for each other and getting each others opinions.
Apparently I felt like I needed to try on every cream colored top in the store. HA! I’m sharing options with you, that what’s I do.
I also tried on some bottoms. A pair of kick crop jeans (I’m low grade obsessed with this style for spring), a pair of green chinos, that were super cute and a pair of navy joggers that were too good to leave in the store. They were so good that Cammi and D’Arcy each got them too, and we’ve all been wearing them on repeat.
SHOP CREAM COLORED TOPS
The sweater in the top right corner is uber soft, and the one below it is a super cute dressed up sweatshirt. I loved all of them, but those were by far my favorites.
I knew the minute I put this little floral top on that it would be coming home with me. It’s so cute and will go with everything. It makes a cute everyday piece, but also would be perfect for work wear.
I forgot to snap a picture of the green top so I had to get one off a video. I loved this little top and brought it home with me too. The blazer is a great closet staple and I was very tempted to get it. We all tried on a flannel for a REEL and they were cute. The Loft has really great flannel that is super soft…and you know how I feel about that.

I think you can tell from this picture that we don’t have any fun together. LOL
The last thing I want to share wasn’t something we bought in NOLA, but we each received a pair of custom earrings from our Instagram friend Marada. She owns a darling online boutique called Behind the Blue Door. You can follow it on Instagram here.
There’s no doubt I’m a southern girl to my very core. You know I love bows, smocking and monograms, so when I saw these cuter than cute monogramed earrings I knew they were the pair I wanted. These are going to make such a cute statement with so many of my spring and summer outfits. I love them. (Thanks Marada💙)
Okey doke friends! This is the 3rd New Orleans post. If you missed the first two, you can read Where to Stay and Eat in New Orleans here, and What I Wore in New Orleans (Part 1) here. I have one more to share on the skincare we took with us and a wonderful treat we got to experience, so come back Friday for that one. Hit the other girls blogs and see what they tried on and bought on our shopping with girlfriends day.
