Hi friends! Happy Monday! Have you heard of a “completer piece”? This is a piece that rounds out an outfit, makes it interesting, and makes it feel complete. I found a fall completer piece that will be a great addition to a lot of fall looks. It’s a kimono from Chico’s with gorgeous colors that are rich jewel tones, just perfect fall.
Total transparency, I’ve never been much of a fan of kimonos. The flowy feel of most just isn’t my style, but this kimono from Chico’s is different. This style has actual sleeves, so there’s more structure to it, and that is what attracted me to it. That and the absolutely gorgeous colors that will complement a host of pieces and looks this fall.
I paired this kimono with a white no-iron blouse also from Chico’s…this entire look is actually from Chico’s and I’m sharing it over on Instagram later today. Their no-iron blouses are fantastic. They really and truly don’t wrinkle like a traditional cotton blouse. I’m starting to have quite a collection.
The jeans are straight leg, and they’re a deep chocolate brown. For size reference I’m wearing .5 petite. I go between a 0 and .5 in Chico’s pants. Since I got a petite, I sized up. I find petites run a size smaller in most brands. Straight leg jeans are everywhere, along with wide leg and flares. Skinny jeans are still around, but they’re going to be taking a back seat to the more current styles.
Accessories are also something I’m beginning to have quite a collection of from Chico’s. They make beautiful statement pieces like this necklace and earrings, and even the belt. The belt will also work really well with a dress that needs a little shape added to it, or a tunic that is too long.
What are your thoughts on kimonos? Tell me in the comments.

This is so pretty! I think it’s more of a duster than a kimono – I love how colorful it is. My absolute favorite shirts are the no -iron ones from Chico’s. They are the best!!
love ya friend!
