Adding Color to Your Closet

Hi friends! There was a kind of teaser in Friday’s Weekly Roundup post about today’s look. This outfit is a great way to go about adding color to your closet. Those of you who have been around here for a while probably realize for the most part I’m a neutral kind of gal. This look is made up of more color than I normally wear, and I really like it. These are all pieces from Chico’s, and they’re still in stock.

There was a time when colored denim was absolutely everywhere, but in recent years, it hasn’t been quite as much. I do feel like I’m seeing a small resurgence. These teal jeans are a nice way to do a colored denim subtly. Chico’s usually has some colored denim on their site if you are in the market for some. These jeans fit well and are comfortable.

I’m a big fan of Chico’s knits. They are well made, and very soft. You already know that soft is one of my non-negotiable criteria for clothing. I have this sweater in both the ecru and black. It has some really sweet details on the sleeves, and nice long cuffs.

You can also get a good look at the bracelet here, and the scarf. These are some really nice accessories. I love the mixed metal, and I love the pearls. I’ve always had a thing for pearls, and love having them worked in on pieces.

Lastly, the faux leather vest. I think some of the absolute best faux leather I’ve felt has come from
Chico’s. I’ve amassed quite a collection. HA! I really love this teal color and I think it’s a great color to add to your closet. It works on blondes, brunettes and red heads, so it’s somewhat universal.
