Hi friends!!! As we get closer to the holidays, sometimes we want to dress a little more festive. Today let’s look at how to accessorize a little black dress. Most of us probably have at least one LBD, and more likely, several in our closets.
This one is from Gibsonlook, and I had no idea that I’d like it so much. I mean obviously I liked it, or I wouldn’t have ordered it, but I realllly like it. It’s a sweater material that’s super soft and lightweight, which is great for in-between seasons, and for layering when it’s colder. I’m wearing an XS and you can use my code LISA10 on it.
This little plaid jacket is one of the cutest I think I’ve ever seen. As soon as I saw it, I was in love. I love the plaid, the colors and the cropped length. It has a matching skirt (on sale 50% off) if you want a cute little suit look for work. It will go with practically anything. Think about jeans, faux leather, velvet, and cords. Seriously, so versatile and would work dressed up or more casual depending on the bottom and accessories.
I added Julie Vos jewelry…of course. Which BTW, her Black Friday sale started yesterday, and there are some good deals. Some pieces are over $100 off. These make great gifts for mom, and if you try to help your dad figure out what to give mom, this would be perfect.
I really wish Express would bring these shoes back. I got them a couple of years ago, and they are so in style right now. Here are some great options if you want the same look.
The clutch I have above is super cute and a nice size. It will hold your phone and then a few other things you might like for an evening out. The flower on the front is moldable and you can stick your hand down behind it to hold onto it, and it looks really pretty. It’s truly another accessory. You can use my code COAST for 15% off.

The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.
Have you signed up for my newsletters yet? You can do it at the bottom of this page. On Monday’s I share last weeks top 6 sellers, and on Friday’s there is a complete list of sales. There are usually things included in the newsletter for subscribers that don’t appear on the blog.😉 It’s kind of like Instagram. I share things all week long in stories and on the grid that don’t necessarily make it here.
Have a wonderful Monday!!!!
