Happy Friday friends! I popped in and did a J Crew Factory try on this week. There are some super cute styles for spring.
Lady Jacket
In case you haven’t noticed, Lady Jackets are absolutely every where. This one is a sweater type and it’s super cute. I love all things navy and white striped. It’s cute with these paper bag jeans and white tee, but could easily be paired with navy pants or a bright color for work wear.
The paper bag jeans are a cute option and a little dressier than a regular style. Jeans are available right now with so many variations and details.
Striped Maxi
This is a super cute maxi with pockets. It also comes in a pink print. It’s cute with sneakers, but will work with sandals or you could wear a heeled sandal and blazer for a dressier look. (I have on a green yoga bra that’s peaking out)
Pink striped dress
J Crew Factory carries this style dress all the time, and they’re so cute and easy to wear. I love the pink stripes and it’s cute as a button with the sneakers, but again, you could change out the shoes and dress it up.
Split Neck Top
This top is a soft cotton and perfect for days that are warming up and will work into the beginning of summer. I’m wearing a small, because they didn’t have XS. Either would work.
Split Neck Ruffle
I had seen this top on the website and went in looking for it. The material is the same as the striped dress, but the ruffle at the neck is just so cute. Imagine it with white jeans. So cute
Blue & White
Blue and white stripes seem to stay around, but I feel like this year, they’re really coming on strong, and I for one have fallen in love. This shirt would work with so many things, and again…think about white denim. So cute. I’m wearing XS, but would prefer small.
Cotton sweater polo
This sweater is another style that you can consistently find at J Crew Factory. They’re cute, comfortable and easy to style. Wear it with jeans, joggers, or a pair of pants for workwear.
The jeans are a slim boyfriend and very on trend. I haven’t worn a pair of skinny jeans in what feels like forever. I really like the straight let style and I think they’re more flattering. They are TTS.
Striped Poncho
This poncho comes in the neutral tan or a navy version. It’s lightweight and an easy layer. I like the mix of stripes and colors.
Cotton V-Neck Cardigan
I love a good basic cardigan, and this one is available in a lot of colors. It’s the perfect extra light layer. It would work with a sundress or you could wear it without the tee too.
Trench Coat
A trench coat is a classic closet staple that never ever goes out of style. I saw this one on my way out and had to try it on. It’s not lined, so great for warmer days when you need a light layer.
Style tip: A trench looks great with flare jeans and a heel. It’s super sharp and one of my favorite ways to style one.
SHOP J CREW FACTORY TRY ON
The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.
