You are going to love these new spring styles from Ann Taylor. I was at the mall other day and strolled through and these caught my eye, so I figured I’d share them with you. Ann Taylor has such a classic style, and the pieces are perfect for workwear, but there are also some that are just as good for casual styling too.
As luck would have it, Ann Taylor has 30% off site-wide right now.
This is a pair of straight leg dress pants in a stretch fabric. They fit well, and have a lower waist. The sweater is a good closet staple as well. Wear alone or layer under a blazer.
Here are the same pants with a cute eyelet top. I have been a fan of eyelet for as long as I can remember. Green is trending for spring, and the combination of green and navy are both classic and preppy.
This top is a d o r a b l e . You know how I love smocking, and peplums, so naturally I couldn’t resist. It pairs perfectly with these high rise straight leg jeans.
I really love all the tweed style jackets retailers are sharing. This houndstooth print jacket has a v-neck and looks cute with work pants, but also makes for a fun casual Friday look with the jeans. You could also pair it with the matching skirt for a pretty suit.
This is the blouse I have on in the middle photo above. It has a darling puff sleeve with pleats at the wrist, and a poet feel to me. It’s a beautiful, timeless style and works well for well, work wear. HA!
This sweater was one of my favorite pieces from the try on. I loved it all, but the sweater is just so cute, and I love the almost Lady Jacket feel it has, but with a twist.

The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.
