How’s that for a long title? It does tell you that we’re talking about all the things new & noteworthy for the second week of October. Y’all! How can we already be to the middle of the month???? If I had a dial to control time, I’d turn it to half speed from now til’ Christmas, and then I’d hit 3X speed from January to the end of March. HA!
What a week. All the sales had my head swimming, and when I see all the posts, I almost panic buy. Does that happen to you? The deals were G O O D though, and it was hard to resist. I picked up the Little Green Clean Machine during Prime Deal Days. It was the cheapest I’ve ever seen it, and currently sold out, so I guess I wasn’t alone.
Okay, enough about me…let’s get to what’s new that might interest you. Last week I shared 3 retailers who are supporting Breast Cancer Awareness month and giving back. I’ve got three more for you this week.

WHAT I WORE THIS WEEK…
AVARA
This might be my favorite dress I’ve ever gotten from Avara. It is so cute, and would work pretty much year round, just not in the dead of winter. You could easily add a bootie and cute pullover sweater to give the appearance of a skirt. I’ve also seen it worn with little white sneakers for a casual look that’s super cute. Use my code COAST15.
AMAZON
This set had pretty much gone viral on Amazon and with good reason. The quality is just amazing. It looks high end for such a good price. I’m wearing a small and it fits perfectly. (I have the waistband rolled over) It comes in 8 colorways and a long sleeve version from a different brand.
GIBSONLOOK
Both of these pieces are from Gibsonlook and they’re both cute and crazy comfy. A super cute run around/errands look, or a great travel option. The cargo joggers are a ponte knit and I’m wearing a small. The chenille open neck sweater is super soft and comes in 10 colors. I also have the hot pink and love it. Use code LISA10 on both.
I’m also loving this new pair of sneakers. They have a great cushy insole and are very comfortable.
Okay that about does it. I hope you have wonderful weekend. The celebrating continues over here at our house. Katie turns 26 on Sunday, so all four kids are coming for birthday lunch after church. We will miss Kent being here. He normally comes for the week of birthdays/our anniversary, but he’s coming at the end of the month to run the Nashville Marathon. YAY!
The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.
Have you signed up for my newsletters yet? You can do it at the bottom of this page. On Monday’s I share last weeks top 6 sellers, and on Friday’s there is a complete list of sales. There are usually things included in the newsletter for subscribers that don’t appear on the blog.😉 It’s kind of like Instagram.
