Hey y’all and happy Monday to you! Here we are, the last day of April. I can barely believe it, and I know I must sound like a broken record. I think I say that every.single.month. Time is just flying by. Tomorrow we enter the wedding month and time will be marked accordingly. For those of you who have already had a child get married, you know how exciting it is. For those of you who haven’t, trust me when I tell you it’s almost as exciting as the time that approached your own wedding. I promise, I’ll try to keep the wedding talk to a minimum this month, but it will be hard. #loveisintheair
Up until recently it never really occurred to me to shop for fashion purposes on Amazon. Are you already doing this? This black and white checked top is my first clothing purchase if you don’t count shoes from Amazon.
This is actually the top I wore on Easter since the weather was cool and it paired great with a cardigan. I’m wearing it above without the tie and with sandals for a more casual look.
I first saw this top on Carrie from Curly Crafty Mom back in February and I’m so happy I did or I would have completely missed it. As soon as I saw the darling bow I was smitten. I could tell the fabric looked nice and thick and I’m happy to report I wasn’t wrong. It is a nice thick fabric, but not too thick, just right.

Here it is with the bow and I swapped out my flat sandals for my favorite wedges, added my new favorite bauble necklace and long black cardigan. I’ve also since seen this same top on the SheIn website and would you believe it’s even cheaper than Amazon? For size reference, I sized up to a medium in this top. So far my experience with both SheIn and now Amazon is that you need to go up at least one size. I’ll link both at the bottom.
How cute are the double frayed hems on these white jeans? I bought a pair of “raw edge” white jeans last year from LOFT, but when I saw these with the double frayed hem, I couldn’t resist. I love the curvy jeans from LOFT because I have a pear shape and they are roomier in the butt and thighs. #junkinmytrunk
I hesitated for quite a while before buying this necklace. Even though I loved it on some of my blogging buddies I was afraid it would be too big for me. Well I’m so happy I finally took the leap and bought it, because now it is one of my favorite pieces and good news, it seems to always be on sale.
I found another blogger who is also finding some cute things on Amazon as well.
This is DeeAnn from DeeAnn Where Did You Get That? DeeAnn and I became acquainted on Instagram and I found out she lives in Edmond, Oklahoma where Kent is from. Her beautiful pink top is from Amazon and comes in a lot of other colors. I’ve seen her post several items she’s found on Amazon. I clearly need to spend more time browsing the clothing and accessories on Amazon especially since we are Prime members. If you aren’t already a Prime member, you can click here>> to Try Prime Discounted Monthly Offering.

I love Amazon Prime! The only problem I have found with ordering on Amazon is be very careful to check sizing. Seems like many places come from China and they run very small! I normally wear a 6-8 in clothes but I would advise everyone to check where the clothes are coming from! I loved that pink off the shoulder and your black and white checked top is DARLING! Happy Wedding Month!
Lisa Richardson says
Thank you Kim!!! I totally agree, I was so nervous ordering from both Amazon and SheIn. If I hadn’t talked with other who had done it, I never would have and even then it took my a while to actually do it. The sizing is whacky?. Have a great week!!! XO

I adore clothes on Amazon! Not only do you get them super fast, but they are so affordable! Loving your top so much – definitely one you’ll be getting a lot of wear out of these next few months! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

Thanks Biana! Prime is awesome. (but I did order something on it Thursday that isn’t arriving until tomorrow…don’t know what’s up with that?)

Amazon is a great source for fashion but who knew? I think it can be a little overwhelming but if you have an idea of what you are looking for it is a treasure trove. This top is so cute on you and I love that you can wear it with or without the bow – just darling! You know I love all things gingham too. Loft and ON are my favorite spots for denim – they always fit so well.
This wedding is going to be here before you know it – Holy Cow! This seems like the fastest engagement. I am so excited for y’all and of course the happy couple. Can’t wait!
Happy Monday!!!
xo,
Kellyann

I think that’s probably one of the reasons I never think of Amazon. It’s like an ocean and I can only do a pond…LOL My next task is to find a little evening bag for the wedding and I’m thinking Amazon may be a great place to look for that. (hmmm…maybe a post was just born?) XOXO
Laura says

I always say I’m going to buy clothes on Amazon, but I never do because I just don’t know where to start! Seriously though, you’ve got some crazy lovely style!
Lisa Richardson says
Seriously! I totally hear you. I’d have never done this if I hadn’t seen it on Carrie and loved it. I need to start doing more browsing on there…if I can figure out where to start…LOL XOXO

Amazon has some great clothes. I have a floral sweatshirt from there for under $20 I’m featuring on my Friday Favorites. LOVE that checkered sensation. The whole outfit is so darling. Eek Happy eve of the wedding month!!

I need to spend a little more time looking on there. It’s just so much stuff, I get overwhelmed. Thanks friend!!! XOXO
Allie Lee says
Super cute! I love love love it with the bow! Amazon is definitely my go-to when it comes to snagging shoes at a better price than what is offered in stores and on brand websites.
Lisa Richardson says
Thanks Allie! I’ve gotten several pairs of shoes from Amazon too…actually the ones for the wedding? Now I’m looking for a clutch. Hope you’ve had a great week. Not too much school left. YIPPEE!!!! XOXO

I buy tons of shoes off Amazon and have bought a few clothing items but not many. I love that top, if it’s black and white, I love it. Yea for wedding month and what a fun time It’s going to be. Happy first week of May!

Amazon is one of my favorite places to shop for everything…including clothes! Glad you were able to find something you liked and that worked out for you. (Although it it hadn’t…at least most retailers on Amazon have a pretty good return policy!) That top is so cute and you styled it perfectly! Great look!

Amazon is the best! I need to start browsing their clothing more too! That top is darling! I love it with and without the bow!
Lisa Richardson says
Thanks Laura! I do love a big bow. If we all share what we find, we can get more stuff. LOL XO
Carrie @ Curly Crafty Mom says
I just LOVE the second outfit where you paired a duster with it. I have a burgundy duster, so darn I won’t be able to recreate this look with my plaid bow top! I’ll have to think about that. Thanks so much for the sweet call out! I have been wanting that necklace for awhile now, I’m thinking about doing a Mother’s Day Wish List (I know, I’m totally late to the game, but oh well!) and may add that necklace to it!

Thanks girl! A navy one would be great with yours! I love that necklace too. I’m afraid I’ve now developed another addiction…BaubleBar. Dangerous! XO

I have become quite fond of shopping clothing on Amazon, especially shoes. I’m also a fan of the Loft curvy fit jeans and pants. Much junk in this trunk! Love your top!
Lisa Richardson says
You are so funny! We can start a “junk in the trunk club”. HA! I’ve gotten several pairs of shoes on Amazon too. Have a wonderful weekend!! XO
Jess says
That top is so cute! I think I bought bikini bottoms once on Amazon (because I needed them to get here in a day before a trip haha!) but never any other clothes. I should look into it more often (although that could be dangerous!).
Lisa Richardson says
Thanks Jess! Well, at least prices are pretty reasonable. There’s the up side? Have a great weekend!!! XO
JL@ A Pocketful of Polka Dots says
This top is so freaking adorable! I love the ways you styled it. I will peruse Amazon for clothes from time to time if I have something specific in mind I am having trouble finding in other places. I love the wide variety you can find in one place. I do admit I order shoes from there more often. 🙂 Thanks for linking up with Fabulous Friday!
Jennie – A Pocketful of Polka Dots
Lisa Richardson says
Thanks Jennie! I want to try to find some more pieces on there. I’m not sure how Carrie found that one. I went on the other day and didn’t see any nearly as cute as that one. I’m sure I’m just plugging something in wrong. Happy Mother’s Day!! XOXO
