Does anyone else feel slightly panicked knowing we’re 2 weeks from Christmas? I think everyone is going to parties, and this super easy holiday look from Chico’s might be good to have on hand. These pieces look great not only for a holiday look that doesn’t scream “Merry Christmas”, but also for New Year’s and beyond. Like most retailers, there’s almost always a sale or promotion going on at Chico’s.
I’m a huge neutrals fan. If you look in my closet, that’s very apparent. I try to sprinkle in some color, but I’m always drawn to the neutral tones. Blondes typically look good in neutrals, white and metallics, so this color palette is a good one for me personally.
My mom and I have both always liked off white. It’s so pretty and I think it looks classy. I also have always felt that off white (or winter white) feels like a pretty holiday look even though it’s void of the typical holiday colors. This swingy tunic sweater is a beautiful knit, and the grommet detailing at the neck and arms fun, adds interest and makes it interesting. This sweater also comes in black, tan, red and a gorgeous purple. I was really torn between it and the off white.
The jeans are a coated high rise straight leg crop. I love the the gold metallic and the length. You can do a lot with these, and I love them with the neutral shoe.
The wrap is 100% cashmere and one of the softest things I’ve ever felt. You know how I feel about soft textures, They’re my favorite. This is a great piece to have for dinner out and travel. It’s an easy layer, and it comes in several colors. The same type wrap is also available in a cashmere blend and I have several of those as well. They make excellent gifts for moms, sisters and girlfriends.

These shoes are surprisingly comfortable and look cute with really dressy pieces or jeans, so they are very versatile. I think they run TTS.

The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.

I definitely think sparkly neutrals work well for an elegant holiday look!
