Hi friend! I have seven nail colors for you to try. I have a highlight on Instagram where I keep all of the nail colors I’ve had done. I don’t know about you, but I like seeing a color on someone before I try it. I’ve also found that dip colors tend to look a little different than the same color in a traditional nail polish.
I get my nails dipped every 3-4 weeks. I ask for 3 dips or I tend to break them. I think most technicians do three coats, but I’ve had one do just 2 dips once and I chipped them easily. With 3 dips, I don’t have too many issues with that and I find they wear pretty much like iron. By the time I go in to have them redone…they are definitely in need of it. For price reference, the place I go here in Nashville charges $55 for dipping powder. Having said that, the same owners have another salon in Nashville and it’s $60 at that one.
I always try to get OPI polishes for two reasons.
1 – I think they wear the best
2 – Most salons have it, so it’s easier for me to share with you.
Alpine Snow
This is a variation on Funny Bunny. To me it reads more white and I actually like it.
Funny Bunny
If I had to guess, I’d say Funny Bunny is one of, if not the most popular nail color. I really like lighter colors, especially in the summer, but I tend to wear them year round.
TIP: Light colors tend to yellow, especially in the sun or when combined with the use of sunscreen. If you ask for an air dry top coat instead of a gel top coat that’s cured with the light, it won’t yellow as badly.
The Thrill of Brazil
I like to get red once around the holidays. This is a good one. Not too blue or orange.
Krona-Logical Order
This is a pretty brownish-gray and depending on the lighting it can even take on a slight deep purple hue.
Stonehenge
I’m not 100% sure this is OPI, but I think it is. Another good neutral gray that also has some taupe undertones.
Let Me Bayou A Drink
This is a really pretty pink. It’s very similar to Mod About You, which is also another popular color.
Stop It I’m Blushing
This is one of my favorites, that I go back to over and over. It’s a pink, but depending on the light it has peach undertones.
There are several more colors on the highlight if you want to check them out. Click HERE.
Do you get your nails done regularly? I do because I just can’t keep them painted. I’ll paint them at night and by the time I shower the next day, it’s already chipping.
I hope this his helpful, and make sure you pin it for future reference…or you can also hit my highlights when you go to the salon to get your nails done.
The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.
Have you signed up for my newsletters yet? You can do it at the bottom of this page. On Monday’s I share last weeks top 6 sellers, and on Friday’s there is a complete list of sales. There are usually things included in the newsletter for subscribers that don’t appear on the blog.😉 It’s kind of like Instagram. I share things all week long in stories and on the grid that don’t necessarily make it here.
