I ordered a bunch of new dresses from Walmart and they are so GOOD. Y’all, Walmart is seriously killing it in the fashion department. I shared some new styles from Walmart a couple of weeks ago here and here. This will be a two part post as well because I don’t want to overload you in one post. Let me just say that when I was putting all of these dresses on, I was so excited. The quality, fit and styles are all fabulous.
Sweater Dress – Wearing Small
Sweater dresses tend to scare me. They can be very unforgiving, but this is such a nice sweater dress. It’s light weight, but substantial at the same time. The details are so good. I love the ruffle at the bottom of the sleeve and it’s mimicked on the hem. Sweet and feminine. It comes in a navy background with cream stripes or a solid black too.
I added the blazers to show you how cute this would be for the office, and also if you’re uncomfortable in a sweater dress, this is a good way to wear one.
Utility Dress – Wearing XS
This dress is the same look and feel as the cargo pants I shared here. It’s a really nice cotton, and I love the contrast stitching. You could put a navy and white turtleneck under it and it would be cute until the temps warm up. It also comes in olive green and is super cute.
Denim Dress – Wearing XS
There’s a lot to love about this denim dress. It’s not to thick or thin. It’s more than a chambray, but not a thick denim. It has a cute ruffle at the neck, nice cuffs, elastic waist with adjustable drawstring, and POCKETS! I love that Walmart is putting pockets in most of their dresses. This one would be work appropriate, and you could add a blazer, or could wear it with sneakers for a fun casual look.
Let’s Talk Tanning
I get a lot of questions on Instagram about my “tan”. I use the Loving Tan 2 hr Express DARK tanning mousse. I’ve tried a lot different brands and this one is by far the best and my favorite. I’ve been using it for a few years. It doesn’t have any of that nasty tanning lotion smell many products have. It goes on with color so you can see where you’ve applied and immediately look tan, and it continues to deepen over the next 4 hours. It is just amazing what a difference it makes in how your clothes look. I keep my lower leg and feet tanned most of the winter because I wear shoes with no socks and they look so much better. You can use the code LISAMITT and get a free tanning mitt.
New jewelry
I got some new pieces of jewelry from Erin McDermott. She’s a small business…and obviously woman owned. I’ve been looking at necklaces like these recently and wanted a few that could be layered. These are perfect. Wear them together or separately, making them very versatile. The bracelets are also from her and comes as a stack. You know I like a lot of “arm candy”. She is also having a sample sale right now with some great deals. My ring is Julie Vos, and you know how much I adore her brand. They’re investment pieces, but worth the money.
SHOP NEW DRESSES FROM WALMART
If you like these dresses, don’t wait…they will sell out quickly…if they haven’t already. That’s my only qualm with sharing Walmart. Things sell out almost as soon as they hit the site.
The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.
Have you signed up for my newsletters yet? You can do it at the bottom of this page. On Monday’s I share last weeks top 6 sellers, and on Friday’s there is a complete list of sales. There are usually things included in the newsletter for subscribers that don’t appear on the blog.😉 It’s kind of like Instagram. I share things all week long in stories and on the grid that don’t necessarily make it here.
Have a wonderful Monday!!!!
