Hey y’all and welcome to Friday and Friday Favorites. Yesterday I was border line giddy all day knowing that 2 weeks from tomorrow is the big day for Erin and Benny. We are really in countdown mode, and it’s just so exciting. I’m loving hearing from some of our dear friends from years ago that are coming and we are going to get to see. It is going to be such a fun time. It also means it’s time to seriously get my ducks in a row. I’ve got a list of things to get done and I want to start marking them off…IN SHARPIE…LOL. #listmakerforlife
I almost forgot this weekend was Mother’s Day with all the other things swirling around in my head. While these meme’s may no longer apply to me since my kids are older (but I certainly remember these thoughts), you younger moms will probably totally be able to relate.
I still can’t use the bathroom with the door closed because I got so used to having it open when my kids were little.?

Friday means Friday Favorites and I’ve got a random roundup of this and that, but lets start with this….
We had our end of the year brunch and sharing day at bible study yesterday. I whipped up my favorite coffee cake to take. This is seriously the best coffee cake mix E-V-E-R. We all love it. It’s super simple and super delicious. Add it to your grocery list!
I’m kicking around the idea of getting on the straw bag trend and this is the one I’ve got my eye on. A scarf tied on the handle or a ball fringe tassel thingy (that’s the technical term) would be super cute too.
Okay, stay with me here. I received this highlighter in one of my ipsy bags and I was excited to try it. Well here’s what came from that.
It just confirmed how much I really like this highlighter that I’ve been using for over a year. This one came in a Sephora Play box and I still love it. It’s the perfect amount of sheen and creaminess. My favorite place to use it is under my brow bone.
These are among some of my favorite and latest accessories I talked about in Wednesday’s collaboration post with my blogging twin, Kellyann. If you missed that post you can catch up here.
I’ve been eyeing these bracelets for oh so long. Well I received an email (imagine that) the other day and if you bought 2 items you got a free necklace. FREE Kendra Scott? Sign me up. As luck would have it I had a $75 gift card so these two beauties ⬆️ went in my cart and this necklace ⬇️ did too. This is very similar to the Elisa necklaces I have, only larger with a longer adjustable chain. I ended up only having to add-on $40ish dollars. Yes-sir-re-Bob. The bracelets are perfect for everyone because they are adjustable. Since I have these baby wrists, I can squeeze them tight enough to fit and I’m happy to report they are beautiful and I love them!
Here’s a funny story though. Kent had told me earlier this week if a package showed up on the porch to leave it alone. Hmmm, I wonder what that could be?? I’d been waiting on this package to come and last night I mentioned it to him and that I was going to have to call the company. Well guess who had hijacked MY package. Yep, the jig is up, in it came from the garage and I guess now we kinda know what I’m getting for Mother’s Day. LOL #thebestlaidplans
So there you have it friends. My short and sweet favorites for this week. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and I wish all my blogging friends a happy and relaxing Mother’s Day. I hope you are treated like the queens you are.

Yes, I remember the days of peeing with the door open! Wow! You made a great Kendra Scott haul. Bauble Bar just emailed me that my necklace has shipped! Can’t wait!

Oh my gosh – nearly wedding day!!! HOW EXCITING! I can’t wait to see all the recaps ever. Sometimes I wish I could relive my own day haha bahaha and yay for your hubs. My husband ordered my Mother’s Day gift with an expired credit card #oops haha it’s the thought that counts?! 😉 Happy weekend!
Lisa Richardson says
Seriously! I am so excited for the entire thing. Wouldn’t it be fun to relive certain events. I’d go back in time to a few days in college, when we were getting married and when the babies were born and little. All such fun, sweet memories. I hope you have the best Mother’s Day!!! XOXO
Kellyann says
Oh boy, I am dying because just this morning I was giving Brian the side eye as he was snoozing away and I was AWAKE! It is so true, how come we can’t sleep like them???? UGH!!!! Love those KS pieces you got!!! I am so excited about the wedding holy cow, major countdown mode!
Happy Mother’s my sweet friend!!!
xo,
Kellyann

For real. Men can sleep anywhere, anytime. What the heck? I wish I could just go on to Nashville NOW. I can’t wait. Hope all your guys treat you like a queen this weekend!!! XOXO

Love the bag! Super cute! I just bought an amazing Hobo cross body at Nord Rack so I won’t be buying one anytime soon……but I am earmarking it. Also, I bought the abalone earrings, necklace and got the necklace free! I LOVE KS stuff. I didn’t like the bracelet. I don’t like dangling chains but I am in the process of doing an exchange. FYI, I got the same bracelet you talked about last year for my bday and I LOVE IT. I too have baby wrists ( I joke my wrists and ankles are the only thing tiny about me!) and I love how I can squeeze it tighter. Anyway…happy mothers day!
Lisa Richardson says
LOL Kim!!! We are so much alike. I always say why did my wrists, feet and neck have to be the thin parts of me. I’d have much rather had big wrists and little thighs. HA! I don’t like dangling things on my wrists either. Too much of a pain. Hope you have a wonderful weekend and Mother’s Day! XO
Tanya @Other Side of the Road says
That is my favorite coffee cake mix. So good, and makes delicious muffins too. All of their mixes are great! Have a happy Mother’s Day!
Lisa Richardson says
I almost made the muffins instead of the cake. I’ll have to try that. Have a wonderful weekend and Mother’s Day! XO
Mother of 3 says
My girlfriend brought that same coffee cake over and even my younger two who normally do not eat coffee cake gobbled it right up.
Lisa Richardson says
I love that. (and the coffee cake) My husband just ate a little leftover piece and was talking about how yummy it is. I don’t know why anyone would make one from scratch when this is so easy and delicious. The only hard part is not eating the whole thing. Happy Mother’s Day!!! XO
Jess says
Those bracelets are so pretty! I have baby wrists too, so I know the bracelet struggle (especially with bangles) is too real. And I’m pretty sure “ball fringe tassel thingy” IS the technical term! 😀 Hope you’re having a great weekend, Lisa!
Lisa Richardson says
We can start a tiny wrists club. Maybe even wear “ball fringe tassel thingy’s”. LOL Have a great weekend cutie! XOXO
leaculp says
Well, thanks to you, I have that gold necklace coming my way plus a pair of gold loop earrings. That new Kendra Scott piece is just beautiful and I know you will wear it well. I’ve made that coffee cake a couple of times and it does not disappoint. It’s great! Happy Mother’s Day Lisa!
Lisa Richardson says
My work here is done. Hahaha! You are going to LOVE it! Now you’ll have to model it for us on your blog? My husband has been enjoying the left over coffee cake. Have a wonderful Mother’s Day, Lea! XOXO
Allie Lee says
Must try that coffee cake pronto! We love Trisha Yearwood’s but it takes a while, so this sounds great! Love all of the new bangles and baubles- have a wonderful mother’s day weekend!
Lisa Richardson says
YES, you must! So yummy and easy! I’ve been going crazy ordering jewelry lately. What’s up with that? Hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day, Allie!! XOXO
Laura says
That coffee cake looks delicious! I need to see if I can find the box mix next time I am at the grocery store! Yum!
Lisa Richardson says
You’ll love it and seriously so easy. Happy Monday, Laura!!! XO
