I wanted some new shoes so I stopped by to see what’s new at Dillard’s. Well there were so many cute things I spent forever in the dressing room. I didn’t realize just how much I really tried on until I looked back at all the pictures. It’s way too many for one post, so like other try-ons we’ll tackle it in 2 posts. I feel pretty sure you’re going to love what I have to share.
Sizing info will be in each caption, and I’ll link all the shoes and accessories at the bottom of the post.
This dress is from Crosby and they make beautiful dresses. I needed an XS, but there wasn’t one in store for me to try on, so I have on a small. It’s so cute, but it would definitely look better if it was a little smaller.
I tried a dress made out of this same fabric the last time I was in Dillard’s. I really just love it. The photo doesn’t do it justice. I’m wearing an XS and it fit perfectly.
A version of this dress comes out every year. So that means a couple of things. It’s timeless, and won’t go out of style, and popular. I have a white version from a few years ago that I love. This one has a super cute ruffle collar. These dresses are easy to wear and you can wear sandals, heels or throw on a pair of sneakers for a cute casual look. I’m wearing an XS.
Here we have two pieces to love. You’ll see these jeans styled with quite a few tops in this post and then when I do a part 2. They have the front patch pockets I’m “obsessed” with. I have so many pairs. They also have the wide leg that I love and a raw hem, which makes them easy to adjust the length with a simple straight cut across the bottom. These have a really high waist, and they run a little small. I have on a size 8 and they’re just a little big.
This top is just beautiful. I always love a ruffle at the neck, and then there’s the applique on it. It’s fully lined and would look with any and everything. Wear it with cut off short for a playful look or pants for work wear. I’m wearing an XS.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve looked at this dress. I’ve loved it for a long time. The colors, print and style are all beautiful. I wore casual sandals, but you could easily dress this one up considerably with a pretty strappy sandal. I’m wearing an XS with room to spare.
This is another dress I’ve been eyeing. There are is also a blouse made of the same fabric, and maybe a skirt. It’s really pretty and has a shine to it. You can wear the tie belt in a bow, or in the first picture I have it tied in a bow in the back. You could also just remove it for a straight shift style. I’m wearing an XS.
SHOES & JEWELRY
The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.
