It’s here! SUMMER! Summer is without a doubt my favorite season and time of year. I want to share 5 easy summer outfit ideas with you. These are all looks I’ll be wearing all summer long.
I have fallen in love with the brand Jude Connally, and find myself wearing a lot of pieces from her. This dress is so cute, comfy and cool for summer. On the website it looks more a tennis style dress because the model is about 6″ taller than me. I love the length for daily wear. If you’re a person who doesn’t love shorts, dresses like this are a great option. The material is very soft, stretchy and easy to move in. It’s almost like a swimsuit fabric, so it dries quickly. They wash beautifully, and you can use my code LISA15 on one purchase. (I’ll let you in on a secret…next week my code will be reset, so if you’ve already used it, you’ll be able to grab a new piece at a discount) I’m wearing a small.
You can use the code COAST on the sandals.
I’ve never been a big fan of shorts, because I don’t love my legs, but I’m finally embracing them and wearing more shorts and skorts. I’m 56 and these legs of mine have served me well. Why hide them? These are the twill shorts from Spanx and they’re so cute. They’re super comfy too. I wear a medium, but I think I could go down to a small. I also choose the 6″ inseam because while I’m embracing my legs, I’m not ready to go 4″. I do think it’s a cute length if your comfortable in them. You can of course use my Spanx code LISAXSPANX on your order.
This top is adorable. I was shopping with a friend and she got it, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I ordered it. Looks cute with shorts, jeans, and joggers.
Another great dress option. This one is the AirEssentials fabric, and if you know, you know…it’s so soft. There’s nothing like it. Dresses like this are so easy to throw and go with no real thought or effort. You could just as easily change out the shoes for a heel and add a blazer, for a work look. I’m wearing a small. The tie belt is removable if you prefer a straight shift style, or add a leather or raffia belt.
These sandals I have worn so much…almost every day since purchasing them. I wear them with everything from dresses, to short, to jeans, to pajamas…HA!
PS…I also LOVE my phone case. I talked with several people this week about it. I’ve tried quite a few, and this is my favorite by far. I get the magnetic back, and you can pull off the loop part (that also holds a credit card or ID) for charging or putting in a phone holder. Use the code COAST10 for 10% off. They’ve just released a new kind of loop and the holder will hold 2 cards, so check those out.
I love this dress so much. I have the exact same dress in another print/color. It’s a lightweight cotton, and just so summery. The belt is removable. You can use code LISA15 on one purchase. I’m wearing an XS.
WHITE JEANS!!! I love to wear white jeans in the summer, especially with a bright colored top. It’s just a happy look. These jeans are from Chico’s, and they’re a no stain technology that really does work. It’s crazy, but true. I’m wearing a 0.
The top is such a pretty floral and I love the blues and greens. Use code COAST15 on your purchase at Avara.
BONUS
I LOVE ACCESSORIES!!! I have so many, and I mix, match, wear them in different combos and accessorize every day. My recent obsession is Allie + Bess. You can buy stacks that are already curated, or buy individual bracelets to create you own stack. The already curated stacks are a better deal, but either way you can use my code COAST20 for 20% off your order.
Make sure you check out the AVARA looks page HERE. They released the OH MY STARS collection and it is OH MY WORD…CUTE!!!
Which of these 5 easy summer outfit ideas was your favorite?
The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.
