I’ve always loved blue and white, but this year I’ve been exploring how to wear more blue and white for summer. It’s not hard, because blue and white stripes are everywhere you look in fashion right now and I can’t seem to get enough!
I love this style top, and I love the blue and white stripes. It looks cute with traditional denim, white or it would be adorable with red!
These jeans are some of my favorite at the moment. I have quite the collection, but I’ve found myself wearing these a lot. They’re so cute, and they’re comfortable. They are a pull on style from Spanx. I’m typically a medium in Spanx bottoms, but I got a small in these.
The Mary Jane style mesh shoes are very popular this summer, and mine are the prettiest shade of pink…and let me just say they get a lot of compliments. They are also very comfortable.
Same top with white jeans! I love how crisp and clean this look is for summer. My silver bag has been a go to every since I got it last winter. I carry it all the time, and it’s a favorite for travel. You can use my code COAST20 at checkout for 20% off.
The brown sandals are another favorite this summer and I just found them on sale. I wear them and my Dolce Vita cream sandals the most. They’re both comfortable, and I’m having trouble wearing totally flat shoes this summer.
Another way to wear blue and white is of course the more traditional jeans and a white top. This is kind of the opposite take on that. White jeans and a blue top. This top is a really soft chambray, and I love the sleeves. You could even call them a statement sleeve, but a subtle statement sleeve.
My Spanx jeans come in white, and I just got a pair, but they hadn’t come when I took these photos. (I have tried them on though, and they’re FABULOUS) These jeans are the no-stain jeans from Chico’s. I’ve been wearing white jeans from Chico’s for several years and love them. They fit well, they don’t show cellulite, and the no stain technology is legit.
*See how cute the Mary Jane’s are with the white jeans too!
Do you love to wear blue and white for summer the way I do? It’s easy, classic and they look good together.
AVARA WEEKEND DRESS SALE
AVARA is having a 30% off sale on AVARA exclusive dresses. There are a lot to choose from, many of which I have and love. This dress is so cute and comfortable. Perfect for the 4th of July or any hot summer day. Use code DRESS30 on any/all of this selection of dresses.
The 4th of July is just around the corner and that means lots of cookouts and backyard BBQ’s. There are so many fun outdoor games for July 4th, and you can order them on Amazon to get them in time. These would be fun to have set up in stations around your yard, or some of them could easily be carried to a park if you’re gathering there.
I’ve seen several of these in use at the beach as well. Big kids/young adults and even older adults sometimes enjoy having something to do when spending an entire day on the beach.
GIANT WOODEN YARD DICE – You can play two games with these giant dice. Yardzee or Yardkle. HAHAHA!
YARD DARTS – Not only are these yard darts, they glow in the dark. Now personally, by the time it gets dark during the summer we’re already in our jammies, but if you like to walk on the wild side, these are for you. LOL
YARD CONNECT FOUR – Did you have Connect Four as a kid? I did, and I loved it. I think this would be fun, and even the littles could play.
BADMINTON – This looks like such an easy way to play Badminton. This game has been around forever. This net doesn’t require spikes, and I think that would keep it from sagging.
LADDER TOSS – We bought one of these years ago for Katie’s graduation party. I had played it somewhere and it was a lot of fun. We will be pulling this out the next time we have a gathering.
HORSESHOES – I haven’t played horseshoes in years, but I used to love it. Most kids these days have probably never heard of it. Let’s bring it back.
BOCCE BALL – The only time I’ve played this was at an Italian restaurant, but it was a lot of fun.
GIANT JENGA – Not gonna’ lie, this one scares me a little. We went to a party with a reallly giant one, and I was terrified it would fall on someone. I think this one is a slightly smaller scale, so probably a lot safer.
CORN HOLE – This is a crowd pleaser, and I see a lot of people who take them (in a wagon) out on the beach to play. Little kids love playing with the bean bags for this one.
Check out this post with red, white and blue looks to go with your new outdoor games for July 4th.
Or this post has more red, white and blue all American summer style that would be fantastic for the 4th.
