Hey friends! Happy Friday and all that jazz. You know how some weeks I say it went by so quickly? Well let me tell you that this week went by at warped speed. I seriously can barely believe it’s already Friday again. Are you ready to find out what made my Friday Favorites for this week?

Making cupcakes is a favorite. I made a couple of batches for cupcakes for our little friends 2nd birthday.
If you are looking for a new drink to try at Starbucks ask for an Iced Latte with Ristretto shots, Stevia and caramel drizzle. Delicious!!! (It pays to have a daughter who’s a barista to guide you.)
Our friends that have been visiting this week went to Yosemite to a cabin for some hiking for a few days. When they arrived at our house I had a cooler waiting for them filled with fun snacks to take. I’m so happy to have the chance to repay some of the kindness they continually show to us whenever we are in Nashville.
Did you take advantage of free Slurpee day on 7-11? We did!
Katie and I hit Nordstrom yesterday for a little trying on. I’m not gonna’ lie. The selection in our store wasn’t the greatest and I was a little bummed. It hasn’t slowed me down from ordering online though.
We were both looking around and then met in the dressing room and had picked the same shirt.
pleated ruffle striped top / cold shoulder sweatshirt
bell sleeve cozy fleece top / tie sleeve sweatshirt
The bell sleeve top is made of the same material as a top I purchased in the winter and it’s one of the softest tops ever and a favorite. This one feels equally as cozy and will perfect when the weather turns and you want to be wrapped in something warm but look cute.
cold shoulder sweatshirt / Caslon frayed hem jeans
I loved these pants and ordered them in the light indigo. This is another really soft and comfortable top as well. It’s kind of a sweatshirt that you could make super casual with ripped jeans or shorts or more polished with pants like the ones I have on here.
Free People split back turtleneck
So we both loved this and ordered it for Katie in the rust color we tried on and I ordered a grey/black. (it’s hard to tell which it will be online) Free People on sale is always a favorite.
So there you have our afternoon of trying on. I loved having a buddy. Do you feel like I say that a lot? It’s because it’s true. Too bad I’ll be flying solo again in the fall. For now, I’m just going to soak up every single minute I can.

Too funny as I am in Starbucks line now and had I read that about the drink I would've ordered that! You tell that sweet girl of yours to keep those drink ideas coming! I love the top you guys got, it's such a cute cut! I was a little disappointed by the selection this year in the catalog but there were some more things online. I was disappointed too, Andrea. However I still managed to spend more than I should have…go figure. LOL Next time you'll have to try that drink. It's similar to a Caramel Macchiato, but less calories…YIPPEE!!! XOXO
I literally took a picture of my screen with the Starbuck's drink on it so I'll know what to order next time. That place intimidates me so I'm glad to have what I need in print -ha! You are such a great hostess! I bet your company really appreciated that thoughtful cooler filled with snacks, what an awesome idea. So guessing by your face in the picture I take it you didn't like the double ruffle blouse? LOL I'm crazy about the Free People top you both got and I adore that blush colored cold shoulder sweatshirt. I placed an order but not for anything heavy weight. Wow, I'm late on this one…sorry! I went and saw her yesterday at work and got another drink like that…yummy! (and they were sampling brownies. I wanted to grab the plate and high tail it out the front door. So delicious) Our friends did love the cooler. It was really the least I could do. They are so gracious to us and I go and stay for extended periods of time at their home. Having friends like them isn't something you can take for granted. It's a special relationship. Those cupcakes are EXPERTLY decorated! 🙂 I love all the tops you tried, especially those with the bell sleeves. I'm thinking those might be a way for me to wear long sleeves here in hot Texas (even in the winter) with a little more "air flow" in the sleeves. Have a wonderful weekend!

OMG Popcornopolis! Our neighbors gave us that brand's caramel corn and their zebra popcorn and it is AMAZING! So fun for you to have a shopping buddy! My shopping buddies usually veto everything I try on. I wanted a tulip hem tank last spring and Trip was MORTIFIED that it would show a sliver of my back. Love all of the items you tried on from Nordstrom!! Our store didn't have a good selection either but yet I somehow spent more than I needed to – mostly online 🙂 So much fun to have Katie there with you to shop! And what a cute idea you had with the cooler and snacks – you are so sweet! I bet they totally loved it!
