Helloooooo Friday!!! I guess when you come home on Tuesday night, Friday appears super quickly. The laundry situation wasn’t nearly as bad as I’d feared, but the grocery situation was dire. Not to worry, I’ve been to Costco and Trader Joe’s and we once again have food.
I’m doing my weekly favorites and linking up with some sweet bloggers from the blogosphere. Come along and see what made my list this week.
~one~
While we were at the beach I found this darling cover up at Old Navy and bought it. As soon as I got on the elevator I got a compliment on it and Katie gave me a thumbs up, so I’d say that’s a win.

Girls Night Out
Kent came home Monday and Paul (Elizabeth’s husband) was out of town so we had ourselves a big time and had GNO. We hit up Uncle Julio’s for yummy guacamole and queso and the best thin chips.
Love these sweet girls and we have the best time! They get along like peanut butter and jelly and thankfully they don’t seem to mind having “mom” around.
Our next stop was where else? Cheesecake Factory. We picked up cheesecake to take home and eat while we watched a chick flick.
We watched How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days. We all agree that Matthew McConaughey was in his prime when this movie was made, not that he’s out of it now?.
~three~
This is one of the books I started on vacation and finished on the plane ride home. Shelly recommended it and she was right. I LOVED it.

This cracked me up!
Who’s with me??? I love to use self check-out but every single time this happens.

I’m offering one of these two gifts FREE to the next 2 people who join my team this month. First come, first serve pick. You can use it for yourself or as an incentive to grow your new business.
Now’s the perfect time to start your own Rodan + Fields business with the launch of our latest product.
Active Hydration Serum
This product is the real deal y’all. I am absolutely loving it. Hydration is so important for your skin and drinking water is definitely a great place to start, but water alone isn’t enough for your skin.
Join the Hydration Nation now!
From the very first use, AHS instantly increases your skin’s moisture level 200% for younger-looking, younger-acting skin. The key is our proprietary 3D3P Molecular Matrix that draws moisture from the atmosphere, locks it in and keeps it coming.
Here’s a great illustration.
The Active Hydration Serum is the perfect addition to all four regimens.

Here are some of my favorite picks from Trader Joe’s. They have the best Gorgonzola cheese. Have you tried riced cauliflower yet? If you haven’t you, you really should. Sometimes we eat it in place of rice, but usually I mix it with rice and no one can tell the difference. Last night I mixed it in with farro and you didn’t even notice. Frozen green beans are great to have on hand for nights when you need a veggie and haven’t been to the store to get fresh. I’m trying the coconut creamer for the first time, so I’ll keep you posted.

Last night Kent and Katie gave me my Mother’s Day present. It was technically from Benny and Katie, but Katie ordered it last month and it took longer than expected to come. I LOVE IT!!! This is my favorite bible verse and what I love even more than the sign itself, is that she listens and knows me. (it was her idea) I’m one blessed mama!
Okey dokey friends, that wraps up this weeks favorites. Check out the other bloggers below to see what made their lists. Have a great weekend and see you on Monday.

Looks like you had fun with your girls! I'll have to check out that book. Looks like a great summer read!
Lisa says
I sure did Laura! The book is perfect for summer and sun!
A Gal Named Al says
I have cauliflower rice in my freezer and haven't had a chance to try it out yet- will do pronto! I'm thinking of making it Mexican style. I haven't been to Cheesecake in forever! One of my student teachers was a manager at our Cheesecake Factory and would always bring me food or invite me in for free dinners! Yum! Hope you all have a great weekend!
Lisa says
I've used it for "Fried Rice" too. It's a great way to fool the kids…LOL
Jenny says
Your girls evening sounds perfect! It's such a funny movie! My favorite girls movie lately has been The Other Woman. It hasn't gotten old yet. I've seen that book floating around, but haven't read it yet… I'll have to add it to my list. Have a great weekend! 🙂
Lisa says
I haven't seen The Other Woman. Katie and I will have to watch it this summer. Happy Friday!!!
Nicole says
#4 is spot on. I find myself avoiding them as much as possible. My husband sets them off every time. I try to not let him touch things in self check out 😉
Lisa says
HA…for real! I swear if you breath to heavy the thing goes bonkers.
Tanya says
That cover up is super cute – great find! And yes, I always have "unexpected items" in the bagging area…drives me crazy! Have a wonderful weekend!
Lisa says
And why is the person who's supposed to be watching the self check outs always half way across the store??? Are you kidding??
Kellyann Rohr says
Okay, you have the best Friday Favorites! I have the ON cover up in white and love it! Now I want queso, guac, and thin chips (but I always want those!). Yes, Matthew McConaughey was in his prime in that movie – really the best! I don't get to Trader Joe's very much because it's not close but I wanna go! And I LOVE your Mother's Day gift and totally agree you are one BLESSED mama! Have a fabulous weekend!
xoxo,
Kellyann

Thanks Kellyann!!! You too!
Laura says
That is my favorite verse, too, Lisa! It has gotten me through so many situations in my life! I'm a chip snob, too! I prefer thin chips with queso best and I got stuck in the self check out this week at Walmart (I loathe WM!) with no unexpected item in the baggage area, too! UGH!
Lisa says
I know exactly what you mean Laura. It's very comforting. You are in good company it your feelings towards Wally World. I think most of us have a love/hate relationship with it. Have a great weekend friend! XO
Jess says
Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory + a chick flick sounds like a fantastic way to spend a night! And I cracked up at the "Unexpected item in the baggage area" pic! Story. of my. life.
Lisa says
HA…just happened again last night at SAFEWAY!!! Hope you've had a great weekend!
