Happy Friday friends! I’m back home and trying to get adjusted to this time zone again. I imagine I’ll do that just in time to leave again next week for our Charleston trip. Aye yai yai! I know you are probably feeling very sorry for me. HA #notlikely
I can’t believe it’s already Labor Day, the official end to summer. Heavy sigh. Y’all know it’s no secret that I’m a big summertime girl. I love the longer days and warmer temperatures. I know a lot of y’all are ready for sweaters, fires, football and all things Pumpkin Spice and I like all those things too, but I could have summer year round and be perfectly happy.

Seeing as how it’s Friday and all that, you know that means it’s time for Friday Favorites. So before I yammer on anymore, let’s just get right to it. I’ll just warn you, I’m all over the place on this one. I’m sharing a little of this and a little of that. I’m linking up with some other bloggers and you can find their blogs under the Link Ups tab.
This one is for you mamas (and grandmamas) out there with little kids in school. They bring home all those beautiful pieces of art and what on Earth are you to do with them? Our elementary school art teacher told me about these frames and oh.my.gosh. They are genius! And YES, I still have my kids sweet little art works displayed in our house. I love them and the memories they invoke.
These frames open up and will store up to 50 pieces of art. WHAT?! Yes!!! I got one to hold Katie’s art work (thinking back now, I have no idea why I didn’t get one for Benny?) You can change out the front picture to display their latest work of art and keep all the other pieces together and safe. Seriously, game changer!
They are available in various sizes, but I ordered the one that holds what seems to be the standard art class size. I also gave one to my sister in law as a gift once for her kids art work, so they make great presents.

Have I ever shared with y’all our GODIVA strategy? Did you know…that GODIVA has a “club”? You join it, and after you spend $10, you get one FREE piece of chocolate a month at a GODIVA store. #soeasytodo #itschocolate Kent and I each have our own membership, and cruise in once a month to get our FREE piece. Seriously, you need to do this. The only catch is that you have to spend $10 each year to keep it going. Not hard. I usually get him chocolates for Valentine’s or our anniversary. #thenheshares?
I’ve shared this product before, but it’s been a while and some on you are probably new readers or missed that post and honestly, it’s just a good thing to share.
This face perfector by Avon is one of the products in my arsenal that I’ve been using the longest. I think this and my favorite mascara are the two with the most longevity in my bag. Just like my mascara, I’ve been using this a good 10+ years. I’ve tried other similar products, but always go right back to this one.
The Magix is a whitish gel-to-powder primer. There are several things I really like about it:
~It keeps my skin from being so shiny
~provides a good base for my mineral peptides powder
~ has built in SPF20
~and is very reasonably priced
How cute are these? I shared them last week on a SAVE/SPEND post and couldn’t resist, so I had to order them for myself. They were here when I got back from my trip, but they seemed to run a little short, so I ordered another pair in 1/2 size up. They will be here next week. I think they are going to be really comfy.
The SEPHORA Sale for Insiders and VIB is now live for all levels. You can use the code YESINSIDER for 10% off or YESVIB for 15% depending on your level. Here are some of my picks for the sale…
Nordstrom is price matching a variety of Hunter boots. These are hard to catch on sale but, I finally got a pair last spring and I’m ready for the rain. If you’ve been eyeing a pair, strike while the iron is hot!

Hey Lisa! Have you tried the Target version of the Madewell and Free People leather shoes? I bought 3 pair yesterday to try out. I am hoping I like them and I definitely like the savings. As does Tony. HAHA. Quinn loafer and I am not sure of the FP knock off name but anywhoooo…..go check them out if you’re so inclined! and PS….Hawaii is summer year round. But wow you’d be super far from your kiddo’s! As for me…..I am so ready for fall. I am OVER summer time! LOL give me all the flannel jammies, firepit nights and college football! WOO HOO! Have a great weekend! xo

Hey Kim! I haven’t tried the those shoes personally. Most of the shoes like that from Target (or those two brands even) I can’t wear because I have narrow feet. I tried on a cute leopard print just like them in a boutique last week and they flopped all over my feet. HA! Why the good Lord didn’t give me thick feet instead of thighs is beyond me. LOL Hope they work for you! Keep me posted. Happy long weekend! XO

Darn it to all! Ok well I will let you know how they work out. I plan to wear them around the house. Because I will definitely take back if I don’t like them. I don’t care how inexpensive they are. If they don’t work- back they go. My girlfriend buys the Madewell and Free People. Who knows? They may work and they may not!

Good luck!!!

Great idea for wall art, I stick my kiddies’ art on a cupboard with blue tack and have to cull the cupboard door every season. But my dear lady, what’s with the Hunters? I’m intrigued that you have wellies in sunny California! Hugs my friend, x.
