First things first…
Who forgot to change their clocks? Come on, you can tell me. We thankfully remembered and don’t really seem any worse for the wear after losing an hour. Sorry for all you mama’s of little kids. I know it’s a little more challenging for y’all.
Now on to the weekend.
We had a GREAT weekend and this girl right here has a lot to do with that.
We picked her up at the airport around 8:00 and headed straight to get a late dinner at her favorite sushi place.
We don’t usually eat sushi at 9:00 at night, but this definitely called for a late night sushi run. (haha…late for us, for Katie it was early…LOL)
The weather has been gorgeous this weekend. Kent and I haven’t made our trek down to the bagel place in several months. We all walked down for lunch and made giant loop. By the time we got home we’d walked 7 miles. Not a bad way to start the day.
I love a yummy bagel sandwich and I really love the sprouts and cucumbers on them.
YUMMM!
I think this is the first time since we moved here almost 4 years ago that we’ve seen water in this fountain. Now that the drought is finally over they’ve turned most of the fountains back on and it was so pretty to see it all full of water.
When Katie is around there is never a shortage of Snapchats.
I love having this girl just sit and watch t.v. with us. This is not something that happens very often so I want to soak in every. single. minute.
These are her youth group buddies. I remember when I was pregnant both times that babies seemed to come in boy waves or girl waves. Katie was one of the few girls in the youth group and these guys right here are all super sweet and great friends with her. I love seeing them all together and how excited they are when she comes home.
The rest of the weekend was relatively routine so I won’t bore you with anymore. (plus I don’t have any pictures?)
Benny made it safely to Honduras yesterday. Prayers being answered.
Hope you guys had a great weekend! I’m looking forward to spending more time with my girl, although she’s been making a lot of plans and I’m going to have to share.

I LOVE your glasses! I just bought a pair of navy blue ones to throw into the mix, and now I'm wanting some of those tan ones! Good for y'all and the 7 miles! I'm trying to train my 2 for Disney next year- not sure they realize how patient they're going to have to be, and they're so used to biking everywhere. Have a fun Monday!
Thanks Allie! I'm really lucky we have AWESOME vision insurance so I just keep adding new glasses to my collection. Oh my goodness…we went to Disney for Katie's 6th birthday (coincidence really, but an such a fun way to celebrate) I bought her new tennis shoes before we went. We were there for a week, didn't rent a stroller and I think Kent carried her maybe once. She literally wore the heels off of those new shoes that week. What a trooper she was. I'm assuming you've already got the dates marked on your calendar to call in for character meals? Y'all are going to have so much fun!!!! Katie at 19 says she wants to go back…I'd like to too. Maybe with the grandkids some day. (I can't believe how much I'm thinking about that now…CRAZIEST thought…makes me feel OLD)❤️
Awww! Seeing you with your Girlie makes me miss mine and reminds me how blessed I am to have her in my life. She has been sick and I haven't seen her since Thursday, but – hide the mess! – mama is coming over tomorrow night to get that quality time before I leave for the weekend! I love when Steph takes pictures of us and puts them on her Snap. I feel so loved. It's crazy and seeing that you have the same relationship with Katie makes me think that our relationship is normal. Whew! Do y'all fight, too?! Ha ha! Enjoy, enjoy, ENJOY and be blessed!
Thanks Laura!!! Yep, these are some pretty special girls and relationships we have?. Lucky mama's for sure. We don't so much fight, but we don't always agree? AND we're both LOUD…so those disagreements are rather animated?

Thank you Tammy! You are so sweet❤️. No reason to be embarrassed, I think a lot of people haven't tried it. My brother thinks we are totally weird for eating it…LOL I stick to the mainstream stuff. California rolls and crunchy rolls are mine and Katie's favorites. (both pictured) My husband will venture out and get a little more exotic, but I stay in my comfort zone?. That's not so weird Jenny?. I think lots of people have never had it. I only do the "normal" stuff…none of the exotic things. California rolls and crunchy rolls (both pictured) are what Katie and I always get.?? We are having a great week!!! XO
