Hello Friday…again.
Christmas came and left in the blink of an eye and now we are about to embark on a new year, a clean slate, a fresh start.
#yougetthepicture
I’ve started de-Christmasing my house. Once it’s over, it’s over. As much as I love having all the decorations up and out I also love reclaiming my space once it’s done. When I pull out my decorations I feel like makes the house all warm and cozy, but once I put them away, the house feels bigger and cleaner.
I keep saying it, and after this I promise I’ll stop.
I wish there was a way to slow down Christmas and make it last.

Now let’s join Erika, Narci, and Andrea and get to the last Friday Favorites for 2016.
#canyoubelieveit
ONE
(wearing one of my favorite plaid popovers – on super sale, made of the softest flannel EVER)
Having my mom and dad here with us for a week was definitely a favorite!!! There is almost always laughter in the house when they are here with the kids home. The kids love to make them laugh and they love to be entertained. It’s a match made in heaven.
And because you all know what it’s like trying to get a good picture out of a group, here are the “out takes”???
It’s not just people with little kids battling trying to get the perfect shot. I wish I could tell all you mama’s out there that it will get easier, but here’s the truth in living color.
TWO
This girl is a nut! When the kids were younger my mom would hide the pickle ornament on the tree and the kid who found it got a prize (the other kid usually got a prize too, because you know…grandparents like to keep it even.
I bought a pickle some years ago too and hid it. I told them whoever found it would get an awesome prize. Katie found it and I gave her a kiss on the forehead. I’m pretty sure she was hoping for and would have preferred cash.
THREE
As a girl who has never had decent eyelashes I can’t tell you how excited I am to have some after using my Lash Boost. I know y’all may be tired of my raving about this stuff, but it seriously works. The top picture was back in the summer (and I’m smiling, hence the beautiful bags under my eyes) before I started using it. The bottom picture was yesterday after 8 weeks. It’s CRAZY how long they’ve gotten and they look even longer in person than in the pictures. The ends are always light looking because they are so long they rub my eyeshadow. LOVE THAT!!!
There’s a little over a week (until January 2) to take advantage of the Lash Boost gift with purchase. You receive the Lash Boost, a mini eye cream and cute little cosmetic bag. Lash Boost will of course still be available, just not with the freebies.
If you have questions or want to order, just leave a comment or visit my website.
I’d absolutely love to have you as a Preferred Customer.
And speaking of Preferred Customers…
FOUR
I sent a sweet treat to all my PC’s for Christmas. Our lip shield is a sunscreen for your lips and I made these adorable headbands to hold your hair back when you wash your face.
FIVE
My favorite Christmas gifts.
I heart Chip and Joanna and I heart Fixer Upper and Katie knows that.
She and Benny got me their book and a mug for Christmas.
I’ve been talking about starting a collection of these mugs from Starbucks for over a year and just never did it. You can purchase them with different state and cities on them and I think it would be fun to have one from each of the states and cities we’ve lived in. This girl gets me. I told her yesterday she’s the Chip to my Joanna. You see in their story she talks about how he would always encourage her to go for it and in my life that person in Katie. For example this blog. She knew I was thinking about it and stayed after me until I finally jumped in and did it, and thank goodness she did. I am one blessed mama to have such amazing children.
So there’s another Friday Favorites in the books.
What were your favorites this week. Tell me about them in the comments. I love when y’all comment and I respond to each and every one. My hope for you is that the New Year will be whatever you want it to and that you are happy and healthy. Enjoy celebrating this weekend and I’ll see you in 2017. WOW…2017!
Love y’all
Lisa

I love the candid photos! And I'm a little bummed that it doesn't get easier. My boys took a perfect shot this morning in the snow and I was in shock! I'm loving that plaid popover too. Sounds like an amazing week! Hope you have a Happy New Year!!
Lisa says
Hi Trista!!! The popover is on super sale right now…I just edited the post with that info…UGH, I can never remember everything the first time around? So happy (and a wee bit jealous of the shot, not the snow?) you got a great shot in the snow?. Congratulations!!!!

I love the Starbucks state mugs too! I always want to get them when I travel but never have. And the "kiss on the forehead" prize sounds like something my parents would do. 😉
Lisa says
Jess, your parents sound really cool?. I guess now I'm going to have to officially start my collection of mugs. Happy New Year!!1

I love those outtake pictures of your family! I started collecting those Starbucks mugs about a year ago and so happy that I did! I have one for each state and country that I've been in that amount of time! I prefer the black and white ones with the silhouette of the city, although I don't think they have them for each state. I hope you have the best New Years!!!
Lisa says
So fun Leslie and thanks for the comment. You have an awesome New Years as well!! Here's to 2017!!!

What sweet family time! I took all of our Christmas decor down yesterday too. I LOVE having it up, it feels so cozy and cheerful, but I love how clean and organized everything feels once it's gone! 🙂
