Hey friends and happy first of March. Can you see the light at the end of the tunnel? Spring can’t be far away and I for one am more than ready!
Today I’m going to a leadership retreat for my bible study, so let’s get moving and jump right into this weeks favorites, a short and sweet edition.
Y’all know I did Faster Way To Fat Loss a few years ago. If you happen to be new and want to catch up, you can read about my experience here. I continue to practice two low carbs days a week in an effort to maintain my weight. #thanksalotmenopause This week I shared my lunch on my Instagram story. (I hope you’re following along) This is called shrimp salsa but I eat as more of a salad and wrap it in lettuce leaves. Very delicious and healthy.
I also shared this photo. Maybe this Friday Favs should be called ‘Insta stories rewind’. HA! There are a couple of things I love in this picture. I love that I can just walk out my back door and grab a lemon to add to my water or use in cooking. I also am crazy for these sweatshirts I got at Old Navy. I’m up to three of them and find myself wanting to wear them every day. They are just so darn comfortable. They have slits on the side which makes them the perfect fit for me. I’m a little “hippy” (not hippie?) and these fit the best of any sweatshirts I’ve ever purchased. Lucky for both of us, they have a new collection of them out right now. And lucky for both of us (if you’re a card holder) they are offering an extra 40% off right now.
Here are some other Old Navy sale picks you might want to check out too.
Another picture with two things I am loving. This purple sweater. Who knew I’d end up loving purple? And my new Nickel & Suede earrings. I’m already finding lots of opportunities to wear them, but I think they are really going to be great this summer
What do these three pictures have in common…besides me? I’m wearing my Tory Burch Millers sandals in all three. Last year when I purchased these, I was a little apprehensive about paying so much for a simple sandal, but I can say with all honesty, I didn’t regret it for a minute. I wore them probably 80% of the time and they go with everything. I bought the luggage color (called Vintage Vachetta). I’m really contemplating adding a second pair to my closet in Makeup. I keep seeing them on so many bloggers and love the way they look. If you’ve been thinking (like me) about getting a pair (or another pair), now would be a good time during the Shopbop sale. It’s a tiered sale based on how much you spend instead of items being on sale.
Spend $200+ get 15% off
Spend $500+ get 20% off
Spend $800+ get 25% off
Okay friends, that’s it for today. Short and sweet. Have the best weekend!

I’m a bit envious of your lemon tree. We *could* have one, but it didn’t occur to me and I’ve only this past year, been using a fresh lemon daily. I hope you enjoy your retreat, it’s always so refreshing to spend time with sisters-in-Christ.
Lisa Richardson says
This is the most we’ve ever had and it’s so fun to look out there and see them. The retreat was wonderful and I’m behind on comments. Good grief. ??♀️

A lemon tree!! My aunt had one in San Mateo, and there were even Meyer lemons….it was such a treat when she’d send us some.
XOXO

I love your Friday Favorites graphic – spring! How lucky you are to have a lemon tree. We should be able to grow one here in Houston, but didn’t succeed when we tried it once. Hope you have a wonderful retreat!
Lisa Richardson says
Thanks Tanya!! Sorry I’m so behind on my comments. I do love having a lemon tree out there.

I am SO jealous of your lemon tree. I love lemon juice in my water! I am going to pin that photo to try that shrimp lettuce wrap salad sometime soon!!! I love low carb meal ideas.

We are visiting my in laws in AZ later this month and one of my daughter’s favorite things is to go pick fresh lemons, oranges, or grapefruit from their trees or their neighbor’s trees! It’s so much fun to have that available. Glad you take advantage! That shrimp salad sounds DELISH! I could see that being a yummy summer dinner!
Lisa Richardson says
I bet she does love that…picking lemons. I remember getting to help gather eggs when I was little and thought that was grand.

I think my biggest takeaway (somehow) is, what the heck is English cucumber??? Is it different than regular cucumber? I’ve never heard of it, haha! Hope you’re having a great weekend, Lisa!! <3
Lisa Richardson says
You are cracking me up Jess!!!! An English Cucumber has less seed and softer skin. I think they are supposed to make you less “burpy”? XOXO
