Have you ever had what felt like the shortest week in the history of the world?
Well for me, this was that week.
Being out of town for almost two weeks makes me lose track of the days and therefore the weeks as well. I came home Tuesday night from all my visiting and BOOM, the next thing I know it’s time for Friday and all my favorite link ups.
Today I’m super excited because the girls over at HF4F (High Five for Friday) are making me their featured blogger today. I’m beyond flattered and thankful to them for allowing me to have such an honor. Be sure you stop by and check out Katie’s blog at A Cup of Tea, Tif at Bright on a Budget and Della at Della Devoted.
While you’re at it you’ll probably want to check out all of these links ups and find some fun things to read about.
Friday Favorites / Five on Friday / Friday Favorites / oh hey FRIDAY
So now to find out what made my list this week…
ONE
Getting to spend some time with my mom and dad was wonderful! It’s so special to go “home” and just enjoy being together and visiting family and friends.
TWO
The What’s Up Wednesday link up brought back some really sweet memories of Halloween’s past with my kids. It turned into a real walk down memory lane. You can read about it here if you missed it Wednesday.
THREE
This is a terrible quality picture but the lighting was bad in the room. While I was home I got to meet this little doll baby. She belongs to my cousin and his wife. She was born the 4th of July and I believe she’s going to be a real “firecracker”.
FOUR
I’m a self professed drug store (translated Target) shopper when it comes to hair care but when I was home I got my hair cut by my friend who did it when I lived there. I asked her what I needed to be using and here are the products she recommended. I’m LOVING them and feeling like doing something good for my hair.
Pureology is a multi-tasking hair treatment for use before any of the other products.
Guts is a volume spray that has a slight foam quality.
Iron Shape 11 is for use before the flat iron, but after blow drying.
Satinwear 02 is applied after the Pureology and Guts before blow drying.
FIVE
I also purchased a new flat iron. My hair was getting really fried especially around my face. I asked Jeniffer about it (my friend who cut my hair) and she said sometimes when flat irons are about to go out they’ll over heat and do that to the hair. Honestly this is the first “professional” grade flat iron I’ve purchased and I’m really liking it. I can tell a difference in the quality and the way it works on my hair.
SIX
I broke out my Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Candle this week. This smell is one of my favorite scents this time of year. I love the glow of a candle and the warmth it adds to a room.
SEVEN
CHOCOLATE!!!
For our anniversary I gave Kent a box of Godiva chocolates. Dark chocolates to be exact. These are in my humble opinion some of the best chocolates in the world. Did you know you can become a Godiva Rewards member? You sign up online or in a store. After your initial purchase of $10 you are entitled to a free chocolate once a month for a year and then as long as you make another purchase it continues for the next year. YEP, a FREE chocolate. We usually get a treat when we are out shopping.

Yesterday I shared how to make these cute and yummy ghost and mummy cookies. They are the perfect treat to take to a party or give to special neighbors or friends.
Are you gearing up for a big pre-Halloween weekend? I’m sure there are lots of parties and excited little trick or treaters. Whatever your weekend holds I hope you enjoy it.
See you back here Monday!
